Statistics and charts are meaningless unless one draws the right conclusions from those statistics and charts. The classic example of leftists drawing wrong conclusions from statistics is the leftist who picked the hospital for her seriously ill mother on the basis of statistics. She saw that one hospital's bed-occupancy statistics showed that they were most capable of getting patients in and out of the hospital faster than every other hospital. Assuming that was a great statistic, that's where she took mommy for her illness. Unfortunately, she discovered too late WHY the hospital had such a GREAT bed-occupancy rate. Patients tended to DIE faster there than anywhere else.

• An autopsy concluded that Columbine killer Eric Harris had the SSRI antidepressant Fluvoxamine in his bloodstream at the time of his death.
• Jeff Weise, who killed nine people and himself at a Minnesota high school in 2005, was taking increasingly high doses of Prozac at the time of his spree.
• Robert Hawkins, who killed eight people and himself at an Omaha mall in 2007, reportedly “had been on antidepressants” at the time of his shooting. He allegedly had taken antidepressants since he was six years old.
• Seung-Hui Cho, who killed 32 and wounded 23 at Virginia Tech in 2007, had been prescribed Prozac and had previously taken Paxil for a year, but he apparently had ceased taking his medication at the time of the shooting.
• Andrew Engeldinger killed five people and himself after being fired from his job in 2012. A police search of his house revealed he’d been prescribed the antidepressants Mirtazapine and Trazodone, as well as the insomnia medication Temazepam.
• Eduardo Sencion, who killed four people and himself with an assault rifle at a Utah IHOP in 2011, was a paranoid schizophrenic whose “medications were changed” during the summer prior to his attack.

• Robert Kenneth Stewart, who murdered eight people at a North Carolina nursing home in 2009, submitted to a blood test that revealed he had Lexapro, Ambien, Benadryl, and Xanax in his system at the time of his spree.
• Steven Kazmierczak, who killed five people and himself on Valentine’s Day in 2008, had allegedly been prescribed Xanax, Ambien, and Prozac, although according to his girlfriend he had stopped taking Prozac prior to the massacre.
• James Eagan Holmes, who shot up a Colorado movie theater in July, reportedly took 100MG of Vicodin before the shooting. He had also allegedly seen three school psychiatrists prior to his attack. Although his psychiatric records are privileged information, in his mug shothe appears to be medicated up to the eyeballs.
And Adam Lanza, slayer of over two dozen people on Friday, appears to have had a classic pair of Medication Eyes himself. He was also reportedly “troubled” and possibly “autistic.” A neighbor of Lanza’s claims he was taking medication.

And he added: "In the coming weeks I will use all the powers which have been conferred on this office to engage my fellow citizens, those responsible for enforcing the law, to mental health experts, parents and educators, in a effort to prevent tragedies like this, then what choice do we have? can not accept that these events become routine. "

Unfortunately, in AMERICA, "these events" have become just that: a painful routine that is repeated at a rate that is unmatched in any other country. Since 1982 there have been 62 similar cases in which one or two shooters have killed dozens of people in universities, schools and other public places. According to the liberal site Mother Jones, of the 142 guns used by the murderers, more than three quarters were legally obtained, including 68 semiautomatic weapons and 35 assault rifles. After each slaughter, without fail turn Democratic politicians have called for strengthening arms control and without any fault it has been challenged by his Republican colleagues, through the lobby of the National Rifle Association (@NRA), the most influential of Washington, and by a culture that believes that gun ownership is an inalienable right as freedom of expression.[/b

But even before this ruling, the NRA was founded in 1871 by a group of hunters that had already taken this course as a flag, opposing any restrictions on firearms, including the right to bear arms near schools or malls and store them in cars. And secondly, the congressional Republicans who hold the majority in Congress and that, whether to defend the interests of builders and traders, or for ideological, oppose any strict control. When not yet concluded the mourning for the victims, the most prudent and have been quick to warn that "we must not take advantage of the tragedy", while the hardest-and sincere-have not hesitated to say that the only way to prevent repeat the massacres in schools is to enable teachers and principals bring their own weapons.

And, in a few months, the routine is repeated and a new murderer will shoot other innocent.

The father of a girl slain on a Homestead school bus before Thanksgiving killed himself Thursday.

The family of a 13-year-old girl shot and killed on a school bus in Homestead last month is now planning another funeral, for her father, who committed suicide Thursday, the family said.

Armando “Alex” Guzman, 34, was found shot to death in a vehicle in Broward County. Police told the family that he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Family members said he was grief-stricken and depressed over the loss of his daughter, Lourdes “Jina” Guzman-DeJesus, who was killed Nov. 20, when a student on her school bus pulled a .40 caliber gun from his backpack and it discharged, striking Jina in the neck. About eight students, including Jina’s 7-year-old sister, were on the bus, which was enroute to several Homestead-area schools.

Jordan Alexander Howe, 15, has been charged with manslaughter and carrying a concealed weapon. He told police he found the gun in his home and that he had taken it to school at least once before. He also said the gun discharged accidentally when he was showing it to another student on the bus.
