Two wrongs do not make a right.
It is good that you were able to separate the goodies that gov gives from the salaries and parachutes that the companies give. These are two separate issues.
Any person here who objects to the fat cats getting goodies from the gov in good conscience must object to anybody get goodies that the gov is nowhere authorized in the const. to give.
Any person here who objects to the fat cats getting goodies from themselves or from their employers should go out and start their own business in which they will be solely responsible for who gets what because it simply is none of your business what one citizen gives to another.
Absolutely correct, two wrongs don't make a right. Handing out money to the poor does not make it right to hand out money to the rich, and vice versa. It's high time Uncle Sam quit handing out money, particularly when the feds don't have money of their own are are having to borrow from foreign nations and future generations. Were we to go back to what government is supposed to do and dump the welfare state for both the rich and poor, we'd be able to balance the budget and cut taxes to boot. The poor can get charity from the churches, after all. The rich can make their own money. No one has to get a handout.
