The party left him, and so did Jane.
Or, maybe they just drifted apart, who knows after all this time?

Now, that other guy that Texas tea brought up, the one from Texas who was a Democrat (back when the Democrats were conservatives, perhaps, or at least not "Marxists", "Communists", and "socialists", he was a commie fighter too, wasn't he?

Jane Wyman was a registered Republican ..... she was her whole life!

Uhmm ...

I believe it was LBJ who passed one of the biggest "socialist" policies in the history of this Country .... was it not?

Probably, after FDR, if you equate "socialist" with "big government."

He also was the CIC who sent a half million troops to Vietnam to fight the Communists, wasn't he? At least, that's who we were told was the enemy at the time.

Yep ...

Not a big LBJ fan .... and come to think of it .... I don't know anyone around these parts that is. However, Lady Bird Johnson is still very popular around here! In fact I don't live far from her childhood home!

First he sent a smaller number of "advisirs" to look after rubber plantations a little too close to unplesantness. Plantations owned by the little lady's family.

Wendy Davis is in one of the very few actual swing districts in the Texas Senate. The odds are fairly good that R's pick up that seat in 2014 (assuming a decent candidate comes out of the primary).

My take is that she is running for Governor because she has nothing to lose. She could go down in a Senate race and not really help her Party, or she can go down in the Gov race, be a hero for it, and help down ballot D's all over the State. Republicans are going to lose down ballot races in Texas solely because she is on the ballot.

We can thank the current Lt. Gov David Dewhurst for this. He is an idiot, and will lose his election this go around as well.
