You Can Tell The Bush-Years Are OVER!!

Barney Frank intends to enforce executive pay guidelines for every institution his committee overseas, not just the ones being bailed out.

Frank differed with Shelby, who said he believed the government should interfere with private companies' executive compensation only when taxpayer money (such as the billions in TARP funds that have gone to teetering banks) is at stake. Frank said that such unstable situations (where private companies come for handouts of public money) should be prevented from happening by changing the ethos of no-risk rewards, which Frank said provide "perverse incentives.

It's in the "stimulus" bill.

Nope. Frank intends to enforce this for any entity under the auspices of his committee. Pre-emptively. Before they come for funds.

EARTH, WIND & FIRE IN DA (White) HOUSE!!!!

"Another of Obama’s favorite artists will also play the White House’s East Room on February 22nd when Earth, Wind and Fire perform for U.S. Governors and guests in an event hosted by the Obamas. “I have pretty eclectic tastes. I grew up in the Seventies, so a lot of Seventies rhythm & blues and pop were staples for me: Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind and Fire, Elton John, Rolling Stones,” Obama said in the same interview."

Sorry, Haley.....there probably won't be any Jug Bands, any time soon.

"A church whose members cheered a soldier's death as "punishment" for US tolerance of homosexuality has been told to pay $10.9m in damages.

The Westboro Baptist Church was taken to court by the father of Lance Cpl Matthew Snyder, a marine who died serving in Iraq in March 2006.

The church cited its constitutional right to free speech in its defence.

But Albert Snyder's lawyer urged the jury to ensure the damages were high enough to stop the church campaigning.

Members of the church - based in Topeka, Kansas - have denounced homosexuality for years, initially targeting the funerals of Aids victims.

But they later extended their pickets to the funerals of soldiers, who they say are being punished by God because of America's tolerance of homosexuality."

Fred Phelps; the new Khristian-martyr.

Funny how another reverend can say dead civilians are a punishment from g-d, and not have to pay a fine... Interesting how supportive liberals are of unequal protection from the 1st amendment.

It's lookin' like BUSHCO's debt-works are havin' a negative-impact on Lil' Dumbya's favorite program!!!

"Because of the downturn in the national economy, we are facing one of the largest budget deficits in our history," state Sen. Carolyn McGinn, a Republican, said in an opinion piece posted on TheKansan.com Friday. "What is certain is we are all going to have to look at new and creative ways to fund state and community programs and services."

I am not sure how this means anyone is stupid exactly... both of them are smart people.
When you're not actively seeking-out others' opinions....especially from the folks-in-the-room who're supposed to be advising you....that's pretty-damned-stupid.

George Bush wanted to play CEO, instead.

The video you say Bush openly wanted opposing points of view and all sides. He just didn't ask you by name if you didn't feel the need to speak up.

Both of them sounded like they wanted to hear all sides.

....Part of his going-it-alone-agenda, no doubt. After all....how could he (possibly) out-shine his Daddy, if he entertained someone else's suggestion.

I assume English is not your language. Gates said "President Bush was interested in hearing other points of view, but he wouldn't go out of his way to call on you if you had not spoken up."

Not sure where you get from that he ignored other viewpoints. Are you honestly going to sit here and tell me that opposing viewpoints never opened their mouths? And if you are going to make that claim, why didn't they?
