CPAC polls are in

There are some polls out there that say Rush is the number one repub out there. Why not run him next time. 20 million dittohead listeners can't be wrong.

Kennedy was catholic

I dont care what they are as long as they have faith in a higher power than themself

but I think it was dumb to be afraid of Romney because he was a mormon and that horrible huckabump played on that with baptists

Mormons believe that the Constitution was divinely inspired.

Wouldn't that be a refreshing change of perspective? Maybe if we elected a Mormon to the White House the Constitution would be picked up, dusted off, footprints erased, and placed back in its proper place as the cornerstone of liberty.

Romney also has experience in turning around financially troubled institutions. Maybe that would be considered a plus.... No, sorry, that doesn't mean a thing next to being a real evangelical. Mormons, after all, have no problem with evolution. What we really need is an evangelical who wants to push creationism, yeah, that's the ticket, yeah.

That's (only) because they couldn't tell the top, from the bottom, on an intelligence-test.

Wait'll they learn to read, before evaluating them.

Yeah, but he's not very republican. He's a conservative. The two are not the same. Although he likely has a vast following, the republican party isn't as supportive of Rush as the population is.

Got any more ridiculous strawmen, Shaman? Do you seriously believe that Romney is a consumer of porn?

Just what is your point, anyway?
As usal. Shaman can't figure out how to make a point!

It's funny, his religious background never concerned me as much as his policies. There are some religious groups I simply would not want in government in general, but that's not what bothered me about Romney.

Pandora, what does he support that you agree with?

Romney has been a big advocate of gun control.
He supports nationalized health care.
And was planning to blow millions on 'giving' each student in school a computer... which they don't need.

I could be wrong but I was under the impression that his gun control was about hand guns in the city. I am mixed on how I feel about that, I don’t think they should be outlawed but I don’t think dangerous people should be able to get them legally......though they will just get them illegally so I really don’t know. But as far as I know Romney is not like Obama and out to ban our guns.

He used to be pro abortion now he is pro life, which bothers me some too. I don’t think his heart is in the pro life movement like lets say President Bush…. But we need to make sure we have a working country … if we don’t have that then there is no point in the abortion debate. So I am willing to work in problem one first then move on to the next…

I did not know he wanted nationalized health care. that makes me sick. That could be a deal breaker with me too…

I like Romney because he can (I think) fix this big government mess. He reduced the number of government workers in MASS. And did wonders the financial mess there; he has a way with straightening things out. The economy is going to be the number one issue in 2012; it’s going to be a real mess.

I would rather have someone who thought more like me but you can’t always get that. If he really is against the second amendment then I will change my views on him, If he is just for "some" gun control in cities then I don’t like it but I can live with it short term. Again if we are going to have a country we recognize in the future we have to fix the biggest problems first. It seems he is most qualified to fix the economy.

Terrorism is still a big issue with me and honestly I don’t know much about him when it comes to national security, I am sure I would agree with anything he is up for more than I agree with Obama

I would never take a chance on him if I knew he was out to end any of our constitutional rights though.

Why is he for national health care? God that sounds so terrible. I will look that up.

Who do you hope for Andy?

I did not know that about mormons and I thought I knew a whole lot about them.

I agree with you about him having the experience in turning around financially troubled instiutions, thats why I like him.

I dont care too much about his religous life or anyones but I do like it when a leader is humble enough to believe in a higher power.

Huckabee would be terrible, I dont like anything about him really. I respect his faith but it would turn many off, even me.
