ATurkish lawmaker had a heart attack on Tuesday immediately after calling on Allah to bring his wrath on Israel.

Hasan Bitmez, a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, was delivering a speech on the budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs when he called down the wrath of Allah to strike Israel.

"Even if history remains silent, the truth will not remain silent. They think that if they get rid of us, there will be no problem," Bitmez said, according to a translation of his speech. "However, if you get rid of us, you will not be able to escape the torment of conscience. Even if you escape the torment of history, you will not be able to escape the wrath of Allah."

Immediately after he finished speaking, Bitmez collapsed to the floor of the parliamentary building after experiencing a heart attack.

People quickly rushed to Bitmez's side, and Dr. Turhan Çömez, a fellow member of Parliament and a trained surgeon, performed CPR on Bitmez, which means that Bitmez's heart stopped beating. First responders carried him out of the assembly hall on a stretcher as Dr. Çömez continued lifesaving measures. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital.

Turkish Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca later provided an update on Bitmez's health.

"During angiography, it was seen that two main veins were completely blocked, and after the intervention did not yield any results, he was connected to a heart-lung pump," Koca said, according to the BBC. "He is now vital with a heart-lung pump."

He remains in "extremely critical and serious" condition, Koca added.

Bizmet is a member of the Felicity Party, which promotes Islamist ideology. The party is critical of Turkey's ruling party for taking a "moderate" stance on the Israel-Hamas war, according to the Jerusalem Post. Bitmez, specifically, is critical of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's response to the conflict.

How many God-honoring Christians do you think were involved in instituting slavery in the US as opposed to God-dishonoring individuals? The way you talk one would believe you blame slavery on Christians alone and slander all modern Christians as if they agreed with whatever arguments early officials made to allow slavery. That is evil like racism and can be legitimately compared to blaming and slandering all modern and past blacks because some blacks did some bad things hundreds of years ago.
