But had that child had been educated about sex etc at school, she could easily identify with it.

One of the reason abortion is such an issue, apart from the believers think they are doing gods work, is gods doctrine is taken too seriously regarding contraception. Consequently, more abortions.
Take religion out of the equation, contraception becomes regular and the abortions drop off.
Letting women control their breeding cycles has reduced abortions and starving unwanted children in every country it has been applied.
