Hi Guys,
7.15pm here in the U.k. so not sure if anyone around stateside to read this now.
Got to say refreshing to see so many of you worked up about politics.
Over here most people just shrug thier shoulders and roll thier eyes and wonder why we bother to exchange one set of suits for another.
Could I ask one favour from you just explain how your different houses work and your voting system.
My prediction based soley on the papers and news here is that the reps will
just scrape a majority in both houses.

Yeah the libs here claim nothing will change...in the hope that Americans stop voting like you Brits and accept our feat in a socialist hell.
Most Americans are not DF libs and will not go quietly into the hell that is socialism. We will vote today to begin the end of liberalism.
The Rs should get control of both houses (House and Senate) which will stop the Marxist Sh*t that BO has pushed on us the past two years.
But the DF libs will tell you nothing will change. Don't believe anything they say...just like the socialists in your country, they lie when they open their mouths.
You failed to explain how it would differ then you resorted to ad hominem not exactly a great argument. I am not a "lib".

If you think the Rs are going to go for the same socialist sh*t BO is shoveling, you are very delusional. Do you remember the Obummercare vote? Not one R voted for it. I would think thinking people would conclude that the Rs will do things differently. Yes?
But, the left media continues to promote this mantra of lies and some believe.
Actually a couple GOPers did vote for the healthcare bill.Also why would the GOPers vote for it? It makes good political sense for them to act fiscally conservative when they are the odd man out that gives them something to complain about come election time. They gladly would vote for one of their spending bills. Remember Bush's bail out?

I meant to say, not ONE R senator voted for the shi**y Obummercare. And, there are several progressive Rs in the Senate. Think of McCant, Grammancy, The Two *****es in ME, Murkalski, etc... Even as bad (liberal) as they are, they would not vote for your Messiah's HC bill. Does that tell you anything?

Your misconception of socialism is not the issue. The issue is whether the Republicans will go for the same sh** (to use your term) that they did the last time around, i.e. deficit spending, fiscal irresponsibility, promising that tax cuts will bring in more money (voodoo economics), starting foreign wars and fighting them on our collective credit card.
You and Rick seem to think that the Rs will be different this time around. Personally, I don't think Lucy is ever going to let Charlie Brown kick the football, nor are the Republicans or Democrats going to change.
