Personally I don't think you should have either. I was trying to suggest a compromise if the admin wanted to have some sort of enticement to register.

I occasionally stop by without logging in to read the threads, and I get cut off after a while. Then I have to go find the HOP cookies and delete them. It's a real pain in the nuts.
