‘Absentee ballots remain the largest source of potential voter fraud.” That quote isn’t from President Trump, who criticized mail-in voting this week after Wisconsin Democrats tried and failed to change an election at the last minute into an exclusively mail-in affair. It’s the conclusion of the bipartisan 2005 report of the Commission on Federal Election Reform, chaired by former President Jimmy Carter and former Secretary of State James Baker III.

This warning was issued before the 2020 election was corrupted by massive mail in voting fraud.

If democrats refuse to count overseas military ballots which are known to be heavily republican, then democrats are trying to steal the election. If democrats count unverified overseas ballots with little or no eligibility verification, then democrats are also trying to steal the election.

Absentee ballots remain the largest source of potential voter fraud," stated the 2005 report by a commission co-chaired by Carter and James Baker III, former President George H. W. Bush’s secretary of state.

The report included 87 recommendations, on everything from voter registration to polling sites to post-election audits. It got the most attention for recommendations to add a paper trail to electronic machines and to implement photo voter ID requirements.

The sentence in the report that now draws the most attention is the warning about absentee voting and fraud

His concern was sparked by a blatant effort to steal his first election race.
In all the coverage of the good and bad things in Jimmy Carter’s record of public service, there’s been little discussion of the important bipartisan role he played in promoting election integrity. He took a lot of heat from fellow Democrats for his role in supporting voter ID laws and issuing cautions on the overuse of mail-in ballots, and he deserves recognition for what he did.
