The basics us the USA electoral system is a disgraceful attempt at democracy. Many still think it is unrelated to a republic. Not sure if that's pure ignorance or wanting a return to some previous system.
The college vote shamble answers to no one but the biggest bribery and is open for corruption. It should be taken from the constitution completely and let the voters decide on numbers.
We have obviously raving lunatics like MTG and Kari Lake belching propaganda and lies continually but are seriously considered as Congress contenders. They couldnt run a raffle.
Trump annoints them as if divine approval is bestowed on them then it's a given they have a right to contest the election. Sadly, block head supporters gravitate to rallies, waving their hands like windmills, a surging throng of MAGA infidels sweating and barking like rabid dogs at a POTUS who was democratically defeated.
What's wrong with that you say? Like before these nuts get so excited at an expected victory and feel god has gifted society with these wannabe politicians but when def at stares them in the face, they resort to violence and a continual rant they were cheated. Might I add at this point, it is always republicans. It's like as if their brains have deserted them during the frenzy of rallies and forgotten an opposition exists.
The other sad tradition is people are stereotyped into categories regarding their religion and colour. There is no doubt about that and cannot be argued. Look at the hostility of republicans against democrats on here. Not a single gesture of mutual obligation to work to benefit the country. Just hate the opposition like you would a child molester. Ignore and ridicule everything that is outside their square. The consequences of that are constant division like the last 50 years. No country progresses under that. It becomes facts reactive rather than proactive. Nothing is examined for future prosperity because the other party did it.
Then of course comes the religious aspect which also drives people towards a particular party and the opposite party labels them as demons and communists etc.
That again, is not conducive to unity, ever.
Even the SC makes decisions on party lines and religious views. If the highest power in the country is corrupted how can it move forward?
None of us will live to see seismic shifts in the country regarding racism, urgent propensities to goes to war, people starving in cities of great wealth or people's ignorance and hatreds towards each other. But why is that?
It must come down to intelligence. Ignorance is ignorance and nothing of benefit can be derived from it.
It most cases it is inherited and not the fault of the education system. Even governments manipulate schools etc to gain political and religious advantages.
Again from the top down it is corrupted and the willingness to change it is further away.
The over reliance on the constitution is as the Bible on how to run a country is wrong. Aspects of life today have no relevance to today's way of life. Take the guns for instance. The appalling justifications for such senseless ownership and mass slaughters is a direct misinterpreted constitution. Very few people agree with kids getting slaughtered but very few want it stopped because that is how we have always lived. The same for politics and religion. Believing there's a god and guns give us freedom is a classic example.
The ignorance and stupidity is traditional and hereditary.
Where to from here you ask?
Of course that is up to democracy and peopl s willingness to make things better. The country cannot be the greatest country on earth under those scenarios. Patriotism and flag waving means nothing if action isn't taken. Which returns to people's low intelligence to not recognise there's a problem in the first place.
