Lets take a look at 6 tracking polls published today and the respective support, percentage wise, each candidate is getting within his own party.


Rasmussen: Obama-86% of Democrats, McCain-87% of Republicans

IBD-TIPP: Obama-88%, McCain-83%

Research 2000: Obama-87%, McCain-89%

ABC/Post: Obama-91%, McCain-84%

Zogby: Obama-87%, McCain-84%

Battleground: Obama-89%, McCain-85%

Certainly there's nothing to be discerned here. In fact, if anything Obama is getting a higher percentage of Democrats than McCain is Republicans.

Furthermore, Obama, according to these polls, is receiving an average of 88% of the Democratic vote...when you contrast that with exit polls showing that Gore received 86% of the Democrats in 2000 while Kerry received 89% in 2004, one can come to only one conclusion..the PUMAs are most definitely DEAD.

No offense, but that is a ridiculous argument. Of all the tracking polls, Rasmussen uses the largest sample..1000 per night, a three day total of 3000. The others use less, some much less, CNN and Hotline use a sample of less than 1000 total, which means they're only using several hundred a night. Anyway, my point is this....just how many PUMAs do you think are among these samples? It would take a significant amount to alter the polls in the way you are suggesting.

By every measure the negative smears and lies of the McCain camp combined with the slips by McCain that belittled a woman's heath and that he planned to cut Social Security & Medicare has doomed McCain with 99% of the old puma crowd.

I know personally two PUMA people and BOTH voted and BOTH wrote in Hillary. I know another PUMA person who is going to vote for McCain, though I have not talked to her in the last couple of days to see if she already voted. These are PUMA people I personally know. Only one of them when asks says she is voting for McCain, the other two say they will vote Obama but they both wrote in Hillary


this is just people I happen to know personally
