this says alot....

welcome back from the dead....

seems the last week or 2 bringing back some old faces...

The level of discussion here has seemed to mature a lot the last week or so.

My bet is that the idiocy going on in DC is making the moderate Republicans realize that they have lost control of their party and they need to pull back the fruitcakes and looney tunes characters.

Watching the incompetence of John Boehner is pitiful. If he was my dog I wouldn't put him down, but I wouldn't take him in the field to work with me anymore, either. Its time for that old dog to retire.

you mean that guy who they claim is in charge...but can't get his own party in the house to do anything? the one who keeps holding votes for the republicans...that can't even pass...like the flashbulb thing today...I mean how hard is it to take a vote count before you call the vote?

like a Steel worker? you mean a Union job?

and I hate to break this bad news...but being a Senator is a lot harder to do well then to be a steal worker...if you want good smart people to do the job, you need to make it worth there while or you will have all the best in the private sector..and only the rest doing the government job...some will do it for the good of the nation and the higher calling to serve...but they are not going to do help run the nation for the cost of what someone can do with a high school diploma ( hard work being a steel worker, but don't need a advanced degree.

That is twice you have talked about smart people being in government. We have some real morons running the show. One congressman shared his fears of Guam capsizing in a tsunami another female congressman freaked out when someone mentioned animal husbandry and wanted to know if they were gonna start supporting the idea of marriage to animals. I could go on really (by the way both of those morons were democrats :)

I just picked steel worker out of a hat, just a normal wage and I disagree that its a harder job they just spend most of their time getting re elected.

*grrrrr* My new Congress critter was the radio station announcer who read the sunrise commodity prices on the local farmers radio station before he was elected in 2010.

Do not talk to me about brains in DC.

The Dems are practicing what they always do...class warfare. Raising taxes will do nothing to fix the problem and just might send the country into another Great Depression, which was prolonged and worsened by another socialist.
"Class warfare", in which the poor die on the streets, back alleys, from complications of malnutrition, diabetes (let see you get that managed in an emergency room, or a heart valve replacement?), not to mention that majority of the "poor" are children.

How are the "rich" faring in this class warfare...another significant increase in personal wealth despite the recession.

Seems like "class warfare", is not the correct word. Perhaps "genocide" would be more appropriate.

Watch out! You are going to hurt his feelings and he is going to blubber all over the place.

Once again you make absurd statements none of whom are based in reality. And, none are backed by any credible sources.

Do hard core lefties really believe this crap?

Here is an idea for you...your Messiah will not be re-elected next year, the Rs are going to cut ALL the entitlement programs to zero. That means you won't get your beloved SS benefits or medicare. You might just put a gun to your head now and get it over with.

What recent polls, special elections, or reports would lead you to a conclusion that your predictions are likely? Have Republicans made advances anywhere? Isn't 2010 looking like the Republican high water mark?

I could be worse!

D.C. might start allowing those "commodities" (i.e. pork-bellies) into D.C.!!

Easy, there! Paul Ryan's base is (already) feelin' kind o' antsy.

There's no sense in encouraging them to go all Kristallnacht at the nearest shelter!

"Ayn Rand, of course, was a kind of politicized L. Ron Hubbard—a novelist-philosopher who inspired a cult of acolytes who deem her the greatest human being who ever lived. The enduring heart of Rand’s totalistic philosophy was Marxism flipped upside down.

Rand viewed the capitalists, not the workers, as the producers of all wealth, and the workers, not the capitalists, as useless parasites."

Hearing is believing.....

"The Tea Party began early in 2009 after an improvised rant by Rick Santelli, a CNBC commentator who called for an uprising to protest the Obama administration’s subsidizing the “losers’ mortgages.” Video of his diatribe rocketed around the country, and protesters quickly adopted both his call for a tea party and his general abhorrence of government that took from the virtuous and the successful and gave to the poor, the uninsured, the bankrupt—in short, the losers. It sounded harsh, Santelli quickly conceded, but “at the end of the day I’m an Ayn Rander.”

There's some kind o' positive-connotation to this mindset????
