Re: Msnbc laughing @ Obama's Nobel prize

you seem to change the topic all the time.
It doesn't matter what Obama says.
The point is that many, including some in his cabinet were surprised of this. Some also thought that they were being pranked.

I change the topic?

You're the one who started talking about Scarborough then jumped to what "everyone" else was saying.

And why is what Obama says irrelevant? Are you saying he thinks he deserves it?

Re: Msnbc laughing @ Obama's Nobel prize

Is that what the prize is meant to be about? Endorsing someones "perceived" values?

I thought it was meant to be about something more, something bigger... having actually done something.

Its all good. I am glad for obama. I would not want it if all it means is someone likes my words when I give speeches and I sure as hell would not want to be lumped up with AlGore or the peanut man

It's the Norwegian's award. Let them decide how to use it.

Maybe they are looking to something bigger.

Re: President Obama Nobel Peace Prize

Im proud Top Gun :)

I am proud that they put him in the same group with AlGore and Jimmy the Jew hater.
It is very fitting and he is very very very very deserving of this honor!

It's a shame that you can't be proud of a good man... our President of the United States of America because the world sees him as someone who truly wants peace around the world.

You know this whole just invade countries on a big bag of lies thing hasn't exactly been a stroke of genius. It's been not only $12 BILLION DOLLARS A MONTH in Iraq and about half that much again on top of that in Afghanistan for like ever now... and it's stupid.

As far as your attacks against other American Presidents I guess that's just your misguided way. Might as well damn Theodore Roosevelt (1906) and Woodrow Wilson (1919) with Jimmy Carter (2002)... for those American Presidents won the Nobel Peace Prize as well.

For me I'll just say... Congratulation Mr. President and thank you for trying.

ok, for once I gave you the benefit of the doubt and looked at the video. All I saw was some punk blogger trying to push his book and couldn't give one straight answer from all of Joe's questions.

I am sorry, but think about it. You are proud enough of him for the both of us.

I dont think its a shame that you were not proud of President George W. Bush or Ronald W. Reagan. I think its cool that you kept your values rather than just be proud of them because they were the president.

Well I can't stop them and I wouldn't want to either. I think it's fitting and telling, Really I do!

No single American I can think of comes to mind as more deserving of an award given to flakes like jimmy and AlGore.

Now I can think of some terrorists and terrorist supporters who could get this award and it would be fitting but as for Americans go, he deserves it above all hands down.

You're in the minority of thinking he earned it.

Re: 30 reasons Obama deserves the Nobel Peace Prize

so basically; a bunch on rhetoric and no accomplishments right!

You seem to miss the point that people all around the world INCLUDING the Nobel Peace Prize committee see our new President as someone who truly wants peace and not one who would lie us into a war as his predecessor did.

Maybe you just like the dark side of the fearmongering, warmongering Right. That's a shame but it doesn't diminish the fact that rational people all around the world and in America itself really do love and respect our President of the United States of America, President Barack Obama.

Printer-Friendly Version

Whether it was rewarding Jimmy Carter for criticizing the Iraq War or supporting Al Gore in his crusade against global warming, the Norwegian Parliament - which chooses the winners of the Nobel Peace Prize - has sought to use the award as a political tool to influence American politic s. Its prestige and moral power make the prize a potent weapon with which to help steer the direction of the colossus beyond the seas that controls a quarter of the world's economy and most of its military power.

Now, the Norwegians have weighed in to support Barack Obama in his bid to reshape America so it looks more like, well, Norway, or at least like Europe.

European socialism cannot succeed without conquering the United States. If the European Union has high taxes and the US keeps its levies low, business and brains will flow to America. If the EU's labor standards require long vacations, high benefits, and proscribe layoffs and ours' do not, employers will migrate across the ocean to do their business in the States. If the Old World curbs ambition by taxation, regulation, and social opprobrium, the ambitious will flock to the New World as they have done for four hundred years.

So, Lenin was right. Socialism cannot exist in just one country - or one continent. It must dominate worldwide or wealth and power will flow to those who remain committed to the free market. Europe realizes this reality and it makes Obama's election as president of the United States all the more welcome.

The Nobel Prize is really Obama's payback for disciplining the unruly United States and taming it to be a member of the European family of nations. Europe wants to reverse the American Revolution and re-colonize us and it sees in Obama a kindred spirit willing to do its bidding.

Does the United States let its entrepreneurs run wild, coming up with fanciful new ideas and making billions from them? Obama will regulate and subdue business just like they do in Europe. Do U.S. businesses compete by slashing prices, aggressively pursuing markets, and jockeying for market share? Obama will make them behave themselves and stay in line just like European companies do. Do Americans work hard and push aggressively to make as much money as they can? Obama will raise taxes, emphasize community values, and narcotize their ambition by offering government largesse.

And does the United States still believe in a sloppy, contrarian democracy in which ordinary people can directly affect their government, states have powers, and courts can reel in executive authority? Obama will use his rubber stamp majority in Congress to pass new laws regardless of public opinion and make us obey.

In foreign policy, is the United States still willing to stand up, alone if necessary, to protect human rights in Bosnia, in Iraq, and in Afghanistan? Obama will curb this unruly independence and mold it within the fabric of appeasement that has dominated Europe for the past half a century.

All this heavy lifting, this conversion of America into a European state, deserves a reward. And what is a more fitting one than to give Obama than the Nobel Peace Prize? He obviously doesn't deserve the award for economics or, given his health care ideas, for medicine. But the Peace Prize expresses Europe's longing: to take back the nation its overly ambitious and uppity children founded.

WOW!! What a perfect summation on why the defeatish policies , the agenda that obama is pushing to bring America down, is rewarded with a socialist award for anti - americanism. There is no doubt obama is bent on turning America into a third world country like those of his youth. He , in nine months , has turned our White House into a "hut". Still our fighting men and women are dying while he plays a "pick -up - basketball" game. I do believe soon he will start receiving an " ANTI- AMERICA" award from every fascist , socialist , and GOD hating nation , country , town , or village in this world , sort of a "enemy of America" type program . Could well be financed by the radical letist , marist , and socialist now in our democrat party. The FIRSTprogram Amerca needs when we once more obtain a decent Congress and a Honorable and Pattriotic leader is to quickly find a huge dump or landfill to hold all the failed policies , programs , and promises of the anti - american obama administration . Look forward to 2010 & 2012 -- relief is at our BALLOT BOX! If America can last that long!

Why not North Korea, Dick?

North Korea has violated its international agreements, has an equal if not more totalitarian regime to Saddam's former regime, and it actually has WMDs.

When do we liberate North Korea, Righties? What's the hold up?
Please!

The Chickenhawks at FAUX Noise merely flail-away at the-DRUMS-o'-War!

When the (actual) fightin' & dyin' starts, they "magically" disappear....like they've always done.
