This is bogus. There was a huge amount of resistance by the Founding Fathers against enlisting the people of Quebec joining the movement against British rule because Quebec was hugely Roman Catholic, and later, against actually annexing Mexico because Mexico was also mostly Roman Catholic.

There was an effort during the American Revolution to conquer Quebec, but it failed.

What Roman Catholic views did they promote? Can you tell us how they influenced the writing of the Constitution or the Bill of Rights?
They opposed any official state church, they opposed turning over education to the Catholic Church, they did not oppose divorce or the sale of condoms.
