If he was talking about tariffs, that money didn't go to trump. It went to the USA treasury.

Why yes, you are 100% correct. But Trump has been saying that China is paying the tariffs, and that he can put a 10% tariff on all imported goods without causing the prices of said goods to increase. He is either really stupid or he thinks that the voters are really stupid. As some of them are.

Trump claimed China paid his businesses hundreds of billions of dollars but I don't believe that any more than I believe the millions of dollars Biden got under the table were justified payments. China did not pay Trump's businesses hundreds of billions of dollars and hundreds of millions of Americans did not die of COVID like Biden said.
