Who said it?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh.....so, the Reagan Admin's support of Saddam Hussein's genocide-agenda had nothing-to-do with Human Rights, huh?

You opposition to the Iraq War supported continuing the Iraqi genocide.

Anyway, as per usual, you miss the point. Obama talks nice rhetoric on human rights, but as displayed here, his admin is the same as all the others, picking and choosing when and where human rights actually matter.

Yeah, he only defeated the Soviet Union, the worlds only opposing super power at the time. Only a twisted nut case can bring down an entire empire.

when will you republicans stop that lie? he Defeated....
1. It was a combo of many leaders over time that defeated the Soviet Union. Jfk Nixon Ford Carter ext all played roles ( it was under Carter that we started funding and working against the USSR in Afghanistan)
2. the USSR was Rotted from the Inside...it was made to collapse.

Reagan just gets all the credit for the simple fact he was there when it happened. but Bye no means did he defeat the USSR ...He played a part in that Defeat .

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.....and, the MURDER of a few women, children, priests & nuns was just one o' the perks, right?

Ignoring the fact that a good chunk of those were from the communist governments. Not to mention that Congress approved of funding them, and had been doing so before Reagan came into office.

Tell me... do you know anything about history, other than the left-wing crap sites you read from? Have EVER done independent research on any topic in your life?

Actually, you are wrong on that point as well. Reagan was not in office when the Soviet Union fell. It was under GHB that it fell. So why do we say that Reagan did it, and not Bush Sr?

Because it was Reagans policies of world wide, multi-front opposition, that drove the Soviets to bankruptcy. It was the modernization of our military, the caused them to implode.

Now I will grant you that the Soviets were rotting from the inside out. I do understand that. Socialism always fails. Without any external influence, socialism will eventually crumble under it's own weight. It will do the same here with the federal government owning the banks, running health care, Social security and so on. It will all fail, because socialism always fails.

Nevertheless, if you take a look at how the Soviet Union was doing before Reagan came into office, no one thought they would crash. They were advancing, expanding, gathering more control and support from China and South East Asia. If someone had said the Soviets wouldn't exist in 10 years from 1980, they'd have been laughed off the stage.

Then came Reagan. And all that changed.

Carter? Are you joking? Carter didn't even support our ally in Iran from being overthrown by Soviet backed revolutionaries. Carter was the most pathetic excuse for a president we have had in 50 years. You think small arms for a bunch of radicals in caves, is equal to a world wide opposition to Soviets?

I also find it humorous that you bring this up when so many leftist start squealing about how Reagan funded Osama Bin Laden ages ago... oops, it was Carter that started that. Where is Sih when you need her?
