I do not feel threatened by Christians with their superstitious beliefs.

I pity them for devoting their lives to such nonesense.

And Numinus' fear of me is manifest in the insults he uses instead of fact and reason in his responses.

What got to me was the 'moderators' allowing it but jumping on a (wrongly) perceived sleight from me.

But judging from the supportive messages I have received it is not just me that receives this kind of 'moderation'.

Glad you came back. You are very outspoken especially on issues of religion but I think speaking from a scientific perspective is not only valid but needed.

I know it's easy to fall into an insult fest. I mean heck we've had someone posting who's called himself Libsmasher for Christ sake!

The Mods are a lot more about a warning than a banning. They want to keep people on the board if they can.

I don't think I am as outspoken on the subject as most religious people are. It is funny that they seem to think they have a right to go around ramming it down people's throats but those with oppposing views should keep them to themselves.

You never were consistent with your meandering logic. I have no illusions you might be consistent with something else. Not only can you not demonstrate logic every single time, you cannot even exhibit fortitude in your own convictions -- no less than twice!

I am happy to stay.

I am not sure who runs this site but my suggestion for longevity would be that moderation is done even-handedly.

You will notice that I never report any of the many who abuse me. Their insults are just admissions of weakness.

But I, like others I have exchanged with, do find biased moderation very difficult to accept.

Then, off the back of the slave trade the great natural wealth of the country was exploited.

Following this the whites ensured that black people were treated like animals for many years to come and immigrants viewed as scum.

The US attacks countries that are left wing and or won't do the US' bidding.

It has attacked 50 nations since WW2 and is currently engaged in two illegal wars that it started killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people.

It is on amnesty's list of countries that violate human rights because of its use of the death penalty.

It imprisons without trial and routinely tortures people.

It is institutionally racist and beset by religious fundamentalism of the kind it condemns when exhibited by Muslims.

It is one the world's biggest polluters and slowest to address the issue of global warming.

It has brought the world's economy to its knees with its corrupt banking practises.

It allowed a fiasco to pass as an election in 2000 and its own government allowed two airliners to kill 3000 of its own people.

It is the world's largest producer of hard-core porn.

40% of its population are obese and there are significant problems of literacy and numeracy.

One third of the working population earns $9 per hour or less.

The country is obsessed with the trivia of fame and appearance facillitating the rise to fame of luminaries such as Paris Hilton who is now a role model for teens.
