Great news for Arizona

It may be the family had hoped she could attain a full recovery or they wanted to wait until she could make the decision to stay or retire on her own.
At any rate, she can now retire with one of the richest pensions and HC packages available anywhere in the world...and she may be the only one in Congress deserving such wealth, considering what she has endured.

Just out of curiosity, I would like to know why you see this as great new for Arizona. I have a tremendous respect for this woman, one of the few if not only Democrats who still believed in the US Constitution and the principles of our Founding Fathers.

they will regain representation. that was the job she was being paid to do and could not for a year+.

I am glad her being shot in the head did something nice for you republicans...
Some of the Republicans running for office most likey where there doing there jobs about as much as she was..they did not quite..outside Ron Paul who never did the other times.

Is it not immoral for the government you love to confiscate the wealth of Americans to feed the big government you so desire? Is it not immoral to believe a woman has the right to murder her unborn child? Is it not immoral to accuse your political opponents of racism, when there is no justification for such a charge? Is it not immoral to limit the rights of your fellow citizens by allowing government to do as it wishes? Is it not immoral to accept that the government can increase it's spending and borrowing with the intention of inflating our money and making future generations of Americans pay the bill? Is it not immoral to be jealous of those who have more than you? Is it not immoral that many wealthy liberals give almost nothing to charity, while condemning the productive class for not paying more in taxes to fund a corrupt government? Is it not immoral to condemn Christianity, while ignoring the horrors of Islam? Is it not immoral to expect that your fellow citizens should support you?

I believe you have a very warped idea of morality.
In fact, based on most of your posts, I would say that your idea of morality is just about diametrically opposed to my idea of morality:
It is not moral for people inheriting or earning through no work of their own many $millions a year while other, including veterans, people with disability, elderly and children don't have a roof over their heads and go to bed hungry.
It is not moral to force a woman to carry to term a fetus when she knows full well she will not be able to provide for another child, and no one helps her provide for the children whom she already has at home, so that they have no future.
It is not moral to use people to make more money by forcing them to pay huge interest rates on "payday loans."
It is not moral to demean, make fun and disregard the suffering of people who have less then you, or to insist that it is "their fault" because "they don't work enough" when they cannot make ends meet.
It is not moral for churches to pry on the poorest in their community or for evangelical preacher to trick poor people in sending them their last penny, through lies and fearmongering.
It is not moral to condemn Islam without looking at the horrors of Christianity. . .all religions (except maybe Buddhism. . . which is not really a religion) are guilty of horrors in the name of "God," while in fact, those horrors are committed by MEN.
It is not moral to pretend that only people agreeing with your narrow view of "patriotism" and "morality" are "moral."
