Mass results are in....

I was just thinking how funny this whole thing is. Last night could not have happened if it were not for Mitt Romney, Kennedy and John Freaking Kerry (who served in Vietnam)

Mass old rules said that a new senator would be appointed by the gov. But when John Freaking Kerry (who served in Vietnam) was running for president and the libs in Mass thought he would for sure win, they changed the rules because Mitt Romney was the Gov at that time and they did not want a republican appointing the next senator. So they changed the rules that it should go to a vote. Now Kennedy tried to change it back before he died without luck.

Had Kennedy and the gang not changed the rules in 2004, the current gov would have picked a D to serve in the seat, and no one would know who Scott Brown was.

Good point again Pandy. The Dems thought that freak show Kerry (who served in Vietnam..and lied about it) might beat W so they changed the rules for his replacement in the Senate. And, now it bit them in the butt.

That makes this victory even sweeter.

Down goes Dems! Down goes Dems!...said with Howard Cosell accent

pretty sad when you have the white house, house and 59% of the senate...and that means you can;t do jack anymore because no republican will vote for anything...

I am sure the republicans can be happy, more people will go without insurance. More people lose there insurance...more will get sick and then not be able to get insurance....

You must be proud.

you mean . No republican would vote for fascism!!
Cannot wait until november!! It is congress cleaning time!!

Pockets do you really know what is going on? I know you voted for Dumb Al Franken, so I will consider that.

But, you need a civics lesson. First the Dems have complete control of the House, complete control of the Senate, and the WH. So, they never needed R votes and they did not seek them. They treated the Rs like shi*t.

The American people do not want your socialism.

way to show your ignorance again. I did not vote for Franken.

Ignorance #2: having the Senate with 59 votes means jack when the other party, Just says no to anything and saysou we have no interest in voting for anything you offer. You see it takes 60 votes, to get to even vote...Maybe you forgot that key point.
s
And the Repubilcans said it very clear, we are not going to vote for anything...so why would they ever care what they think? OOO the repblicans are not going to vote for anything, so lets all give up after all they have 40 and we have 60 Senators ....clearly they should be in charge of what gets a vote.

And maybe if the republicans don't want to be teated like crap, when they lose alll 3 branches...maybe they should try working with the Dems, not just saying no.

All this means is that now they will actually have to let the republicans have a say and give input.

So far they have given the republicans the bird. Snow and collins are more D than R but the dems were so arrogant they would not even compromise to any idea snow or collins had.

Now Harry will have to listen to collins and snow and actually put something in that they like before they turn coat and give a vote for the ds

So all is not lost, obama can still destroy the country by mid terms :)
Thats becuse even if they wanted to, they would not be able to work with the dems...It was verying clear...Republicans do not vote for Dems to even hold a vote on anything, or we will not support your reelection.

the Rights Bull crying, they would not work with us is Empty and hollow. Its not the Majorities job to do what the minority wants. You guys act like now you have some sum Majority , in any way...you don't you just have enough to prevent a vote that would go down 59-41 against you...

Hmmm...I'm thinking that something-SOMETHING is a 'FOOT' here:
Lets examine this campaign under the light of day; he didn't care whether or not he received the full blown funding {like previous Republicans have for getting elected and then some of them still lost} in fact he said, "I don't want to be beholden to any entity for my political stance", then he took his bus {sans any republican printing} on it around the state of Mass., posters were made up with just his name on them {sans any republican logo}, his speeches were mostly about 'what I plan on doing for my state' {sans the republican party ideology}, his speech last night, exciting and thankful for all of those independents that helped/voted for him {sans any republican banners or ideology}...I'm thinking that Mass. has just elected a republican that is leaning to becoming a full blown INDEPENDENT and that isn't such a BAD THING EITHER!

he knows a bad brand when he sees it, but also voted with them 96% of the time...

Assuming all the Democrats got in line on something... so far, in terms of healthcare that has hardly been the case.

"Pockets" is in a EMPTY SUIT and cannot find any CHANGE!!

IF YOU need to see a lot of democrats in line , go to any unemployment office!! Obama is working for them!!! LOL,LOL in between Golf , Basketball, New york dinners, and a religious outing with Rev. Wright and of course Ayers.

I still have a job because Obama does NOT work for me!!

The house and Senate both passed health care...all that was left was to merge them....now mr 41, will end all that work.

the Dems did not always agree on what reforms, but at least they agreed on the need for some ..republicans seemed fine with no to anything, let the broke system keep going.

Unfortunately, the "what" that folks would like to see with respect to "healthcare reform" (actually insurance reform) doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to what that legislation was actually written to do in practice. If that legislation actually gets through, it will be everybody under it who will be complaining about it after some time. Loudly. Violently. It's going to get pretty ugly in any case.

Merging those bills was going to be all but impossible. Half the House hated the Senate version, and half the Senate hates the House version.

Additionally, Republicans have introduced reform legislation of their own, of course it will go nowhere, but it was at least introduced.

POS, take a breath! Between this post and your last, I've never heard you sound so totally incoherent. Honestly Hon, I'm not sure of half of what you were trying to say, other than that you are very, very upset...

But POS, it took them over 6 months to even get the Senate to a vote. There was no reason for that, other than the fact that what they were trying to put through is political suicide, and too many Dem Senators demanded a sweetheart deal to lay their head on the chopping block.

They had NO need of Republican cooperation. They only wanted it so that they could utilize their prime cover tactic by claiming it was "bi-partisan." They would not even let Republican proposals see the light of day for open discussion. They made it clear they did not need them to pass something, and to pass something with a filibuster-proof majority.

What was holding them up, more than anything, was the American people, and our very loud, consistent voices screaming NO! They still concoct excuses about that, but the truth is, if they choose to face it, they know this is NOT what the majority of Americans want. We do NOT want the looters stealing from the producers. We do NOT want the looting of our property, theft by legal fiat, going to the moochers who think nothing of taking what IS NOT THEIRS.

60 members of the Senate wore the "D" proudly, yet they could not get cooperation in their own family without special deals and nothing short of bribery. If these actions had occurred in the private sector, somebody would be facing prison. These scandalous and damaging actions must be stopped. Now.
