Latest Republican impeachment witnesses fail to link Biden to family’s businesses

Aseries of witnesses in the House Republican impeachment probe into President Joe Biden told investigators they were unaware of any evidence of wrongdoing on the part of the president and said they did not know of any evidence that Mr Biden had any involvement in his family’s overseas or domestic business ventures, according to a Democratic staff memorandum obtained by The Independent.

The memorandum, which was prepared by staff on the House Oversight and Judiciary committees, said the series of seven witness interviews conducted over the last two months turned up nothing in the way of derogatory evidence in the long-running probe, which Republicans opened shortly after taking control of the House last year.

Although prominent members of the GOP such as Oversight Committee chairman James Comer have intimated that their investigation has uncovered evidence of criminality by Mr Biden and members of his family, the memorandum flatly states that each of the seven witnesses said “they were not aware of any evidence of any wrongdoing by President Biden or of President Biden being involved in, profiting from, or taking official actions in relation to family members’ business ventures”.

First, trump demands it. trump wants revenge. So do most republicans.

Second, it was never meant to find any crime. Republicans knew there was no crime. It is meant to smear Biden to hopefully prevent him from being reelected.

We saw the republicans do the same thing in the 90s to Bill Clinton. Then again to Obama when he was president. Again to Hillary Clinton while Obama was president. They have been doing the same thing to Biden now that he is president.

In all those endless investigations in the last THREE decades, not one resulted in criminal charges. That wasn't the point of all that wasted tax dollars, all the unnecessary chaos, lies and hate. The point was to smear those politicians to hopefully prevent them from being elected. Their track record isn't very good. They have 1 win and 3 losses. The only politician they succeeded with was Hillary. The rest were elected and reelected.

I wouldn't be surprised if this impeachment inquiry ends without any impeachment of Joe Biden. They have no evidence of any crime. Yet they have the republican voters convinced that Biden has committed crimes. They don't say what the crimes are or produce any evidence. None have ever said what China got in return for all those "bribes." The republican voters are too stupid to realize that most of what they are accusing Biden of doing happened when Biden was out of office and had no power to do anything for anyone.

The only way to put a stop to all this garbage is to not vote for a republican and not allow them to have control of any part of our congress anymore.

They don't know how to govern for the people. All they know how to do is waste tax dollars, lie, create more hate and division in our nation.

I find it very strange that the maga people believe that trump had special presidential immunity that no other president can have. Especially a democratic president.

The person you're replying to expects Biden to be arrested even though we heard for 4 years of the trump presidency from the maga people that a sitting president can't be indicted. Apparently they believe that only applies to trump.

From what I have read, his son Hunter and his brother James.

I know my parents had nothing to do with my business I had for decades beyond being proud of my accomplishments.

Everyone who had been dragged before the republican committee has said, Joe Biden didn't have anything to do with Hunter or James' business. Joe did loan them money and it was paid back but that's about it. The documents of it all were in his financial documents he turned over to the committee.
