Abstract​

After the 2020 US presidential election Donald Trump refused to concede, alleging widespread and unparalleled voter fraud. Trump’s supporters deployed several statistical arguments in an attempt to cast doubt on the result. Reviewing the most prominent of these statistical claims, we conclude that none of them is even remotely convincing. The common logic behind these claims is that, if the election were fairly conducted, some feature of the observed 2020 election result would be unlikely or impossible. In each case, we find that the purportedly anomalous fact is either not a fact or not anomalous.

Hundreds of thousands of unverified or illegal ballots for Biden were illegally certified in states that rushed to certify the suspicious results before investigations could overturn them. Those unverified ballots have never been validated and until they are the case for a stolen election remains strong in fact, if not in practice.

A man who once described a ballot being cast in his dead wife’s name as “sickening” and was cited by the Nevada Republican Party last November as evidence that massive voter fraud swayed the results of the 2020 presidential election has been charged by prosecutors with voter fraud.

According to a lawsuit filed in the Las Vegas Justice Court this month, the man, Donald Kirk Hartle, voted his deceased wife Rosemarie Hartle’s ballot. At a November press conference, Matt Schlapp, chairman of the American Consevative Union, named Rosemarie Hartle as one example of the “hundreds of dead people" he said had voted in the election in Clark County. The Nevada Republican Party also cited Hartle’s interview with KLAS Channel 8 in their voter fraud allegations.

The extensive research you reference was insufficient in that none of the research involved massive forensics examinations of voting machines immediately after the election and no research proved hundreds of millions of ballots were legitimately cast by legal voters who voted only once in the election.

The evidence here supports the claim that as many as thousands of dead people voted in some precincts. How did that happen? That happened because Democrats would not allow voter registries to be purged of the names of dead people in accordance with voting laws because they said such purges hurt the black vote.
