It's not about climate change per say. It's about gathering the votes of the nutters like mark and Kari.
Next he'll be legislating something religious.

That'd certainly satisfy all o' the retirees, down there, who are already whistling past the graveyard.....but, he's still running third.....behind Donald Trump and Bibi Nuttinyayhoo....who are BOTH, desperately trying to avoid courtrooms!!

DeSantis is a fool, he has been a horrid governor. And his campaign to out Trump Trump was a sad joke.

They obviously want climate change let them have it.

However, stop sending our federal dollars to them when they have hurricanes and floods.

Let them live with their choices and stop making the rest of us pay for it.

It's driving a lot of people out of Florida. Including younger people.

I live in the exact opposite corner of the nation from Florida. The farthest away from Florida possible without going to Hawaii or Alaska. Up until about 3 years ago or so it was very rare to see a license plate from Florida. Now, it's everyday.

A friend of mine was at a gas station a few months ago when another car with Florida state plates pulled in. She went over to the car to see a younger couple, in their 20s, in the car. When one got out she asked him if they were visiting. He said no. They moved here. She asked him why, he said they were no longer welcome in Florida even though they both were born and raised there.

And it's not just young people. I've been reading articles about older people who can't afford to live there anymore. What few insurance companies that are left there charge many thousands of dollars a year for coverage and it's just not affordable. In fact, I read another article about it this morning. It was about condos. Apparently ( sarcasm) not having proper building codes leads to buildings collapsing and people dying, who would have thought? So now the building codes have been changed and it now costs a lot in HOA fees to bring the buildings up to code and create the proper reserves required. That's on top of the astronomical insurance rates.

Maybe if the people of Florida had to live with all the real consequences of their selfish and irresponsible actions, they just might change.

Tell 'em there's all kinds of tax-free real-estate down on the Baja!!!
.

I'm. sorry but I'm not sure what you mean.
As I recall , according to the 1917 Constitution, foreigners cannot own property in Mexico within 100 kilometers of the coast, which mean anywhere in Baja. Americans can LEASE land for up to 99 years and build on it. And taxes are assessed on leased property, I believe.

Is the Phoenix person saying that the people who are leaving Florida can go to Baja Mexico?

If so, Americans have been moving there for a while now. There's a large American expat comumunity there.

I keep seeing license plates from Texas, Florida, Indiana, Idaho, Iowa and Missouri. It's a daily occurrence now.

People are moving and from what I can see, they are younger people moving to my state. It's not good because it's a brain drain on the red states.

Baja is TWO states in Mexico. Baja Califrnia Norte, capital Mexicali, borders on CA and AZ. Baja California Sur, capital La Paz, is the southern half of the peninsula and borders only on Baja California Note. They are quite different.
