Sean Hannity has repeated unproven claims about the storming of the U.S. Capitol as he demanded that the January 6 committee subpoena the text messages of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The Fox News anchor said on his Tuesday show that Pelosi's texts could shed light on decisions about National Guard personnel before the riot, but did not mention during the segment the interest that the committee has taken in his own communications with Donald Trump's White House.

"I'd like to know, where is the subpoena for Nancy Pelosi?" Hannity said. "Why did she reject Donald Trump's authorization for 20,000 National Guard troops?"

There is no evidence that the former president authorized these troops nor is there proof that Pelosi was involved in decisions about the National Guard, The Washington Post reported.

But Hannity called for Muriel Bowser, the mayor of D.C., the city's police chief and the former congressional sergeant at arms to be asked about the levels of policing that day.

"Where are the subpoenas for their text messages? Their phone calls and their emails?" Hannity said, accusing the committee of not wanting to get to the "root cause" of the riot.

Referring to the two Republican representatives on the January 6 committee, Hannity said: "Why would Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger lecture us constantly about standing up for truth and the constitution and allow the people that deny the 20,000 troops—I would make the case if the 20,000 troops were there, January 6 never would have happened."

In his opening monologue, Hannity said the committee "is not about getting to the truth" and "unfortunately, Nancy Pelosi is off limits." He added that the probe was "all about smearing Trump and his supporters."

Newsweek has contacted Pelosi's office for comment.
During the segment on Tuesday's show, Hannity did not mention that he and one of his guests, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), have been invited to co-operate with the committee.

At a committee hearing in December, Rep. Cheney, the committee's Republican co-chair, read aloud texts that Hannity had sent to Trump's chief of staff Mark Meadows on January 6, in which the Fox host said Trump should "ask people to leave the Capitol."

On Sunday, Rep. Jordan wrote a defiant letter to the committee's chair Rep. Bennie Thompson, saying he did not plan to comply with the request to co-operate.

Jordan has been identified as one of the lawmakers who sent a text message to Meadows before the attack that outlined a legal theory that then Vice President Mike Pence had the authority to reject the certification of the 2020 election result.

Jeff Sites, the Democratic U.S. Army veteran challenging Jordan this year in Ohio's 4th congressional district, said in a statement provided to Newsweek that the committee "needs to subpoena Jim Jordan and force him to testify. And they need to do it now."

America wants to know too, Sean!

He has been exposed as a paid liar. It's best you not needle Pelosi too much. She has more power than him.

Truly. Even if she is an old women. That's a brilliant observation by you. Full points you.

She's been unpopular for 20 years but she's still there dopey.
You left off the remainder of your message.

No they don't. It's the same old spite and hate coming from you. As if Nancy will bow to that pedophile.

You don't get it.

When you abandon your integrity to make us hate Trump, you can't use that same compromised integrity to make your personal opinions carry any importance.

Eat shit and bark at the crescent moon.

"make you hate trump"? another fake victim chimes in. "they made us hate trump, it had nothing to do with trump's actions or personality"
haahhahahha

Nope.

Reggie Jackson.

The Yankees recognized he was a controversial and/or sometimes a disruptive clubhouse figure.

But the Yankees kept him on the team because he was a winner.

The American voters were manipulated to hate him to protect the bad corrupt peoples and organizations Trump wanted to stop.

Problem is they stopped him first.

Poor title for a thread.

Who gives a shit about Sean Hannity's opinion? He is just a guy with an opinion.

If you think her texts should be subpoenaed then say so and state your reasons why. What does a talk show host have to do with it?

It is never going to happen.
