If that's true that he paid no taxes it would make a good thread.
The question here is whether the subject being claimed is owned by right. Some commodities have a social dimension to it. Medical care is one such commodity.
If one possessed an inalienable right to live, can one lose it simply because medical care is inaccessible financially? At what point then, does a compelling state interest arise such that the community is made to shoulder the cost? And more importantly, does this compelling state interest amount to theft?

If there are unowned apples on a tree you have a right to go pick them. Then to sell them or eat them as they are then yours. You do not have a right for someone else to pick them for you.
If you are alive you have a right to not be killed. You do not have a right for someone else to provide you with everything or anything you need to live.
The state is formed by consent to protect your apples from theft and to protect your life from harm. It is not formed to take apples from the one who picked them and give those apples to the one who did not. It is also not formed to spread the cost of providing the necessities of life. At least in the US it is not. If the state does provide life's necessities to one person it must first take them from another. That is theft. The states role is to protect life and property (and a few other things listed in the constitution) and it must collect funds to do so. Funds collected for powers not given to the state is theft.

If Cops stick to fighting real crime instead of petty enforcement like writing tickets for Parking Violations,Seat Belt Violations,Red Light Violations and Traffic violations id wouldnt be stealing right now.Plus id wouldnt mind paying my taxes. But Cops just dont care,,They break the laws and nothing gets done to them plus they dont focusing on protecting you the little guy. But oh yeah when the President of the United States or the Governor of your state comes to your hometown theyre protect him. But they dont protect you unlike in Canada they do. Cops rather patrol Banks,Shopping Malls and Jewlery stores instead patroling your neighborhood at night and look for car theves and burglars. Ever wonder why we need guns and carrying them as well?

Fan beaten at Dodger game may have brain damage
LOS ANGELES – A San Francisco Giants fan who was beaten at Dodger Stadium after last week's opening game shows signs of brain damage and remains in critical condition, a doctor said Tuesday.
Meanwhile, detectives were looking into unconfirmed reports that the same suspects struck other Giants fans minutes before the attack that left Bryan Stow in a coma.
Stow, a 42-year-old paramedic and father of two from Santa Cruz, remained in critical but guarded condition at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. He suffered a severe skull fracture and bad bruising to his brain's frontal lobes, said Dr. Gabriel Zada, a neurosurgeon.
At one point, doctors had to remove the entire left side of his skull to ease pressure on his brain. The pressure is now normal but Stow remains in a coma from his injuries and from sedation to reduce his brain activity, Zada said.
"There is evidence of brain injury and dysfunction," Zada said.
It was too early to make a prognosis but such injuries can affect memory, thinking ability and even personality, Zada said.
"It's going to be a long recovery process," he said.
Stow was in a parking lot heading to a taxi stand after the Dodgers' 2-1 victory over the Giants on March 31 when two shaven-headed young men in Dodgers clothing began taunting and swearing at him and two other fans, who were all wearing Giants gear, police said.
Stow was punched in the back of the head. He fell down, bashing his head on the pavement, and was kicked before the attackers ran off.

Steve somehow equates that GE had no tax liability this year as meaning GE employs don't pay taxes....it is absurd.

So you steal from Wal-mart because the police were writing traffic tickets and failed to stop thugs from hurting a paramedic? Are you saying you commit injustice in order to establish justice?
I know you are not a progressive liberal but I see a parallel. Taking money from one group of people just to give it to another group is the same sort of warped injustice.

Look at China how their law enforcement serves the people and Look at North Korea and Cuba. Crime is very low in those countries. Now Mexico wouldnt have Cartels running around if Hugo Chavez was head of Mexico. Cause Socialism and Communism does work.
The state reserves the right of eminent domain. Why do you think that is?

Which of course is fundamentally inconsistent with either liberalism or conservatism.
However, Lockes treatise in which he first established that property rights exist at all begins at a point in time prior to the existence of government when there would be no eminent domain. At that time the mighty did take advantage of the weak and it is for that reason that governments are established to begin with.
In other words, first we have property rights, then government is established to protect those property rights, then within its jurisdiction government assumes control over any unclaimed property. Presumably to prevent quarrels. (though maybe because the first governments were often kingdoms)
If property rights did not exist prior to government then there would be no reason to create said government to begin with.

Initially, nature is held in common.
Whether this idea stems from the premise that god created everything or the more obvious assertion that nature is necessary for human existence is irrelevant.
What is relevant is that the state OWNS everything within its territorial bounds held as COMMONWEALTH by virtue of its SOVEREIGNTY. Private property exists only as a sufferance by the state.
The right of eminent domain is reserved by the state consistent to the above principle. Anything within its territory may be appropriated by the state in the name of THE COMMON GOOD.

I disagree too.
Private property is a right that exist before the state recognizes it. And in the case of the united states that is the official opinion of the state as written in the constitution.
