Defeat the radical left Press in America!

Communism may be only a theory, a theory that has nver been put into practice, and that cannot exist in the real world, but so is the idealized view of Capitalism that Conservatives believe so fervently in.

American capitialism has always depended heavily on goverment support, and monopoly. Workers have seldom benefited from increases in productivity. That's why mining companies built company towns back in the 19th century...they owned their workers, body and soul. Rooseveltian (both Teddy and Frank) progressivism held back that tendency until the 1980s, when Reagan came to office, and swept away the New Deal, and since that time, the workers are getting screwed again.

I have lots of friends who are black/Jewish/whatever. A very common statement, but your posts denigrating gay people give lie to your words.

Except that I only denigrate gay people in your mind.
You wanting to rewrite the bible based on your ideas is as bad as them wanting to rewrite it based on theirs.

I am not in favor of rewriting it.

Oh yeah, camels just gallop right through the eyes of needles.

Abraham was wealthy and was mentioned as being with God after his death.

When the richest 1% of the population has more money than the poorest 95% the population, is it any surprise that the rich would be able to give more than the poor?

I didn't say the rich give more than the poor. I said that conservatives give more than libs.

You are not truthful. You argued through dozens of posts about why gay people should not be allowed to marry, and now you have changed your position and say that it's the State regulation of marriage that you are against. You, sir, are not truthful.

I have point blank said that gays should marry in whatever ceremony they want to as long as it is not gov licensed.

Let's not forget the endorsement of collectivism among Christians

Act 4: 31-37

But hey you can keep a little for yourself, right? I mean it is YOUR scratch, yes?

Not so fast, Christians, the very next part, Act 5: 1-5

one of the early churches practices communalism. They were allowed to but not required to.

Christianity is able to exist within any governmental system.

First, the term "abomination" is the translation of a specific word meaning something that breaks Jewish law, so it is a mistranslation to use it for people who are not Jewish and are not required to follow Jewish law.

I find that very interesting and perhaps useful. I would like to know more about that - do you have any links?

Right, so if it's never been put into practice, there is likely a reason for that.
Because the odds are against us?

Wage slavery? Like I can't leave my job? Because I can. I can't open my own business? Because I can. I can't get a degree and get a better paying job? Because I can.

See, there's the problem with that theory. Alex Spanos, a multi-millionare, got his start selling baloney sandwiches. Wasn't he a slave to his wage? No, because he saved up some money, bought bread and baloney, and started selling sandwiches.

Dave Thomas who founded Wendy's started of running a KFC restaurant that was failing at the time. Wasn't he slave to his wage? No, he saved up, lived lean, and opened his own burger stand.

Or how about Chris Gardner, who was even homeless for a time, but worked his way up, and now runs his own stockbroker firm. Wasn't he a slave to his wage?

And there are hundreds of thousands of such cases, if not more all throughout the US. Way back when I worked at Wendy's, there was a Romanian there, who barely spoke English. He worked hard, lived lean, and learned English, and eventually went on to own the largest Hertz rent-a-car in Columbus, the one next to the international air port. How did he do that? Wasn't he a slave to his Wendy's wage?

The wage slave theory is false.

Most of these people were lucky enough to have independent jobs. They climbed the ladder by following orders exactly and being little snitches.

Social evolution would suggest that if such a system was achievable, that clearly by now with all the attempts at doing it, one would have succeeded if it were possible.

It has only been tried once. [Paris Commune]

Right. Yeah how many stores have you been forcibly pushed into at gun point? Please list off the times. For me, the answer is zero.

It is impossible for a store to become the only option if they don't give us what we want. Why? Two reasons... the only way to force a company out of business, is by offering better products, or a better price, or both. If Walmart was vastly more expensive, or didn't have the products we wanted, no one would go there.

Second, if Walmart somehow were to drive another store out, though it be successful and profitable, someone else would move in. That is the essence of a free-market.

For example, here in Columbus, the store brand Big Bear, closed down, and folded up. What happened? Another company bought up the most successful of those old Big Bear stores, and now we have Giant Eagle.

The dont need to force us in. But when they get weak, trust me, they will go genocidal.

Just out of curiosity, is it possible that the other 90% of the population that understands communism differently than you, might not all be wrong, but perhaps you are the one who is wrong?

I talk to economists, commentators, professors, and many others, and although I won't say that "no one" thinks the way you do, you are vastly in the minority.

Again, your specific version of communism has never been tried, never succeeded, never been implemented, even by people who openly claimed to be communists.

Which leads me to believe that your idea of communism doesn't exist.

Its possible that I am wrong, but unlikely.

I said Jesus. Thanks for playing.

"Is there anyone among you who, if your child asks for a fish, will give a snake instead of a fish? Or if the child asks for an egg, will give a scorpion? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”"

I think Jesus said it best in the first half of the Parable of the Sheep and Goats -

Matthew 25:31-40

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’

Guess what happen to the goats.

Social evolution would suggest that if such a system was achievable, that clearly by now with all the attempts at doing it, one would have succeeded if it were possible.

And since we've never managed to implement Jesus' teachings that means that His teachings are not achievable? Get a grip! Just because we haven't managed to do something doesn't mean that we can't or even that we shouldn't.

Respond, andy. I am making some good points and you think you can just run away like a 3 year old from a spider? You aught to grow up and smell the cold pork.

Because the odds are against us?

Well of course. Yes, generally the odds are against a system that doesn't work.

Most of these people were lucky enough to have independent jobs. They climbed the ladder by following orders exactly and being little snitches.

You are nuts. Chris Gardner was not a little snitch. Of course he did follow orders, and that's logical and intelligent. The idea you are going to be wealthy by ignoring your boss, is a just a bit stupid.

You have a rather ridiculous position, that successful people are all snitches or something... I don't know. First, snitches rarely get anywhere. Why? Because everyone hates snitches. I've known enough managers to know that when snitches turn up, even the boss doesn't like them.

It has only been tried once. [Paris Commune]

No, actually it's been tried a few other times, and been cited as a model by many others. You may want to look up Lyon and Grenoble, which also had very short lived attempts at communes. Further, Mao and Lenin both used this as a basis for their socialistic systems, and with equally failing results, except instead of ending by bloody conflict, being ended by economic destruction.

In either case, the universal result is failure.

It should also be pointed out that the Paris Commune was really an Oligarchy, that just didn't have enough time to mature. In reality the communists wanted to make one person the central figure of the system. It's just that the system didn't last long enough for them to do it.

The dont need to force us in. But when they get weak, trust me, they will go genocidal.

Then why didn't all the previous stores do that? Sears used to be the number one retail store in the US. Sears has dropped to 8th, and they are still slowly falling. Why didn't Tandy Corp do that? Tandy Corp had the incredible universe stores nation wide, which are all now gone. Why hasn't GM done that? Although they are still number one in the US, they hardly have a fraction of the 50% of the market they used to, and they just declared bankruptcy this year. Why haven't they gone crazy shooting people for not buying GM?

Why? Because that lame claim is crap. Moving on.
