Does anyone even read Time Magazine anymore?

And ... which politicians would that be?

I guess you think someone has a crystal ball as to who .....Oddly there are actually some good politicians...on both sides...though your party drummed quite a few out for being ...gasp....Moderate....or at least...Not crazy enough.

Why don't you just go back to running around yelling that your going to succeed from the US...there are many of us really pulling for Texas to put up or shut up on that one.

No ... actually I was prepared to hear some of those facts your were boasting about ... Ha ... silly me!

[QUOTEDid you read the word "eventually"?][/QUOTE]

Yes ... I did and understood that part quite well in fact. I was just curious as to which politicians were the total puppets to corporations. I understand that someone is being demonized here ..... I am just not sure who.

When it comes to politicians that ARE puppets to corporations, I'd say MOST of them.

Well ... Ok .... but, I thought OWS was really about the Wall Street Guys, you know, the 1%'ers. You, see ... this has been one of the problems I have had with OWS to begin with. No one, even the protestors seem to know what they are really protesting. I have even seen some protestors holding up signs with TEA Party slogans on them. Now, there's nothing wrong with that except, the way I am to understand it those two could not be any further apart on the spectrum.

Anyway, so you support OWS with the hope that eventually it will cause the unseating of certain unnamed politicians who are perceived to be "puppets to big corporations". That's good. At least you have and idea of a motivation for these protest, which again, is more than I could say about the majority of supporters I have communicated with on this topic.

Alright, one other quick question. Let's say that these protest are successful in doing what you believe they are trying to do and they flush out the evil politicians who support corporations, demonize them like Herman Cain to the point there is no chance they will be re-elected. Then what? What type of candidate should they be replaced with? What changes would this bring to America's corporations?

Similar to how politicians came about who were sympathetic to the Tea Party movement, I think politicians will come about who are sympathetic to OWS. Granted, just as the tea party politicians don't really fully follow the small government elements, the OWS politicians probably won't fully follow the aspirations of the OWS movement.

The changes I would hope it brings to corporations are things like *huge* tax hikes to companies that outsource more than a certain percentage of their workforce. No loopholes that allow for companies like GE to pay such a pitiful amount in taxes. And a whole bunch of pro-consumer things. But to me, the biggest issue is bringing manufacturing jobs back to America.

I can appreciate your goal of bringing back manufacturing jobs to America. Unfortunately, that's not exactly what the goals of OWS are. Huge tax hikes will not stop our jobs from going overseas or to Mexico or Canada or anywhere else. Actually, America has the highest corporate tax rate on the planet along with other fees and government regulations that makes this Country extremely hostile to businesses. Even red China is a more friendly business environment than the US. I don't think a higher tax will fix an over taxed problem.

We should cut the corporate tax rate in half, dissolve the EPA and any other government entity that stands in the way of business. Promoting a more friendly business environment will stop our jobs from going abroad and promote success here in America. Capitalism promotes freedom, liberties and financial success. I am sure I may catch some hell from the more liberal members here for that statement but, it's the truth.

Unfortunately, that is not the goals of OWS or the Obama regime. Obama does not want to expand the private sector in fact he wants to kill small businesses all together. He has already said he wants to raise the corporate tax rate which will damage business in this Country even more. You cannot create a total government dependent nation if everyone has a job and is independent. Let me sum that up for you. It is called SOCIALISM.

We have already fought two world wars over this failed political ideology and we are once again, under attack from within by members loyal to this failed political model. OWS are sponsored and supported by some of the largest socialist and communist organizations in the world. Whether the protestors realize it or whether they are simply puppets to the powers that be, one thing is for sure. Their message of socialism now is clear. The end to American capitalism. The end to America as it has been for the last 235 years.

We should cut the corporate tax rate in half...
Corporations shouldn't be taxed at all... What they pay to their employees will be taxed by the income taxes. If they use the money to expand their business, they will be paying additional property taxes. If they save the money, it will be invested into the economy where it can be used in many ways. Bottom line is, no dollar of that money will go untaxed, all of it will eventually be taxed and retaxed several times without a corporate tax punishing corporations for savings and investments.

I agree 100%. However, I am thinking short of a Constitutional Convention, we will never see a zero corporate tax in this Country.

Yes yes, the standard right-wing answer for everything: Just lower taxes and gut necessary regulations and the problems with disappear. Nothing bad could come of that.... It's outrageous.

We have regulations for a reason.

Reagonomics didn't work.

Lowering corporate taxes just makes it hard when taxes have to be raised again. It doesn't bring in jobs. Nothing trickles down to the general populace.

I know that for the most part one cannot change the mind of another over politics or religion. However, just to amuse myself I will direct you to a link so if you are interested in a different perspective other than the usual brainwashed revisionist views, you will be able to review some actual facts about that time period, that I remember well.

President Ronald Reagan's record includes sweeping economic reforms and deep across-the-board tax cuts, market deregulation, and sound monetary policies to contain inflation. His policies resulted in the largest peacetime economic boom in American history and nearly 35 million more jobs.
