Gun debate

Usually used to move an entire thread to the top of the list I used it to bring your post back into the most current so we could all read it and appreciate it again.

"Because most online discussion forums have a changing list that displays the recently-active discussion threads, experienced users put this to their advantage. To push a particular conversation topic to the top of the recent list, an experienced user will add a very short reply with the words 'bump' or 'TTT. While they could type anything to push the conversation to the top, bump and TTT are the most common expressions."

Gun control groups march across Brooklyn Bridge to demand action

Hundreds of people crossed New York City’s Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday morning to call for an end to gun violence in the US, united by the rallying cry “Not one more”

Man stabs three with a machete

A machete wielding madman stabbed three men outside of a Brooklyn catering hall, cops said.

The men were arguing outside of the Africa House Banquet and Catering hall in Flatbush around 2:40 a.m. Saturday, on Bedford and Snyder Avenues, according to police.

Again, we are all well aware of who perpetrates the far majority of violent crime in this Country. I found these two stories to be ironic simply because as our anti-Constitutional friends are marching against our Constitutional Rights in the same town the violence continues without the use of firearms.

Yep, take weapons away from law abiding citizens .... that will fix everything.

The 'gun control' battle rages - but, at least now, we have begun to talk about the REAL cause. Finally, we've stopped blaming pencils for writing Gone With The Wind.

Which "real cause" is that?

It is not the machete that kills - it is not the gun that kills - it is the person. We have finally gotten past quick fixes and excuses, and have begun to talk about mental illness. Finally, it would seem, we are going to have an adult conversation about the problem.

"We" can have an adult conversation on this topic but, try telling that to those idiots crossing the Brooklyn Bridge.

While oneus likely loco if they turn killer the vast majority of deaths are drug related. Give the drugs away to sever the aorta of organized crime.

That would not stop the inner city violence either ....

These idiots do not need a reason to be violent towards one another.
No drug money, no guns. Nothing stops it 100% but there is no question it takes a huge bite. And if they gave to find real jobs they dont have the free time for mayhem.

They don't want real jobs ....

They want to keep doing exactly what they are doing. This is the creation of decades of liberal policies. Removing drugs will not change anything in this culture no more than outlawing guns.

Drugs are already illegal.
