Obama is so obsessed with himself. I have never, in my life, seen a President trying to put himself in front of the public so much.

Everywhere you turn, there he is. Enough is enough already.

And when people oppose his ideas, he gets on the "campaign trail" and tries his best to persuade them.

If he would put half the campaigning effort into actually being a leader, well, then we may get some things accomplished.

I had a conversation with a person who voted for Obama, and they said that Obama was not leading because he was overwhelmed.

Duh... he asked to be the President of the United States. He had to expect to be overwhelmed.

Yes, President Obama is truly INEPT . He is in way over his head and does not know what to do .So , he appoints CZARS , his radical friends from all radical political spectrums .He is completely useless as a leader of a Constitutional Government . I seriously believe Obama first ran for President as a JOKE , a cruel joke . He was very surprised to find the radical left democrat party was willing to sell out America if he could defeat CONSERVATISM in America. The democrat party , the liberal national news media and of course the far , far left labor unions sold out American Values to gain the White House . Now , America is in grave danger . Obama has placed Communist , Socialist , Marxist , Statist, and the run of the mill America haters in position on influence - his CZARS. Now , he attempts to spread his poison into the Government School Rooms across America by speaking directly to the fresh minds of our youth . His "camel" always pressing its nose under the "tent " until it destroys all the contents . WAKE UP AMERICA! Take control of your children , your government , your life . We elected a President not a Dictator! We made a HUGE MISTAKE ,he needs to be watched closely , very closely until we can REPLACE EXTREMEISM with AMERICANISM beginning in 2010. In 2010 we must VOTE PRINCIPLE over Party and then in 2012 WE must throw the remaing trash out . PRINCIPLE over PARTY !! THINK!

If he sticks to what he is supposed to do - encourage kids to take school seriously, then I have no issue with it.

He is not the first pres to appear in a school - though this is the first address to all schools. Yes he does seem to be stuck on himself.

I do have my doubts that he will stick to the one topic. If it is a platform for politicizing an agenda I will pull my kid.

I'm sure Obama's first intrusion will be on the mild side . He will not apologize for America to our youth this frst intrusion . BUT Like "the camel sticking his huge nose under the Tent " our radical anti America president will rapidly increase his negative comments about America until he sounds much like another "little " man . That "little man " turned his nations youth into a "Youth Movement " . His group became spies . spying on their parents , marching for the dictators views , and eventually destroying Eastern Europe and caused the death of Millions . It was AMERICA who made the great sacrifices in terms of blood and treasure that eventually brought this dictator down . We can no longer count on such an earthly savior because you see America is now the VICTIM!! THINK!

I do not think I agree. I do not want my child to miss school and besides she has to learn how to think for herself.

She will watch it at school and let me know what the teacher says it all means, then we will watch it together again at home and go over what I think it means, and she will decide for herself what she agrees with.

"I will correct the situation at home " , lol, You are easy prey for those who seek to harm . Lucky for me that I work for the school district and would know when this sort of stuff happens. so far we do not have a problem with this. We have a few obama worshiping teachers but they "mostly" keep it to themselves at the grade school level anyways. We have a much bigger problem in the middle and high school level and college is out of control IMO.

I dont worry when it comes to this, my daughter is very bright and we spend a great deal of time reading the paper, watching the news and I teach her to find out where the bias parts were and where the absolute fact parts are and when personal opinion came in, and she is very good at finding those things.

I think its far more dangerous for a kid to not be exposed to this because one day they will grow up and when they do they wont know how to think for themselves.

I think religion and politics both should be exposed to kids early, and they should learn and hear both sides, if you only expose them to one side of it they wont be prepared to reason through what ever it is once the other side is presented to them, making them easy targets.


by the way, our school did get an email from the department of education asking us to participate. I guess they were too dumb to realize our school does not start till the next day. We have one teacher that I know of who plans to tape it and do it when the kids return.

They need to teach them that jobs are disappearing fast now and they
will get harder to find next year.

I never let anyone get away with telling her one side without me explaining to her the other side, and we use RL examples at a "kids" level.

I will let them tell her what ever it is they want to, she will let me know when she comes home and we will go over why they are wrong in the areas I disagree with and why they are right in the areas I agree with.

I respect those who do not want their kids to watch it, more power to them but its just not the way I can effectivly teach my daughter.
