Olmert to meet with Abbas

I was reading today that Olmert hope to meet with Palestinian leader Abbas soon for the first real talks since he came to power. I would like to say this would really happen but the each have the same conditions as always before they will agree to meet. Olmert has really takin a dive in polls since his fiasco with the way he went about the conflict with Hezzbola. He sees this as maybe a way to bring his numbers back up. I truly would like to see a solution to the Palestinian problem, but I am not real optimistic. But talking would be a nice first step.
