And, I hate no one. Hate is something in my experience, is common among lefties. And, that hatred is evident toward anyone or anything that disagrees with socialism.

What this thread demonstrated is that tea party does have an element of extremists who will promote the use of force if it fit their goal.
But. . .this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, and actually, you seem proud of it.
So, why back away from your beliefs?

First, let me say that EVERY party has some good and some bad people, so I really hate to generalize. But what I object the most about a majority (or at least, a "vocal" majority) of the tea party is this:
Their over reliance on "the Bible" for decision making on what is "good" and "bad" for our country
Their limited view and understanding of the world as a global entity, a fact that becomes more evident every month, whether we like it or not
Their selection of "figure head" leaders (Palin, Bachman, Perry. . .I do have a lot more respect and trust in Ron Paul than most of the others)
Their tendency to believe that they can totaly change US politics by electing totally clueless politicians. . .I haven't decided yet if this is arrogance or simplistic thinking. . .I'm afraid it may just be encouraged by career politicians in order to manipulate this crowd. . . .that would be REALLY sad for the honest people who truly believe in the ideology of tea party.
Well, that's a few points .
