I've argued that such universities no longer be allowed to earn money tax free on their gigantic financial endowments - which in effect are paid for by taxes on working people who send their sons off to fight in america's foreign wars.

Columbia is a non-profit AND public ? Would not have guessed that. But be careful arguing against non-profits as that's an all or none deal. Sort of like free speech. Free does not mean free of offense.

No. Columbia is a profit-making private university. All universities are allowed to grow their financial endowments tax free.

its hard to say without video or more context, but I am guessing they where calling the Military Racist, not the solder...if that was the case then so be it, they can think that all they want...however there way of showing is low and only serves to make them look bad..not anyone else...I hope someone shows them a better way of venting there anger then just yelling like that....Leave that to the tea party at Health Care Debates.
