The END is nigh, for BUSHCO's gulag!!!!

"I have said repeatedly that I intend to close Guantanamo, and I will follow through on that," the president-elect said.

"I have said repeatedly that America doesn't torture. And I'm going to make sure that we don't torture. Those are part and parcel of an effort to regain America's moral stature in the world," Obama added."

Is this a joke post? It has to be a joke post! I would have a hard time believing Americans are this stupid to think Obama is against torture..

He had no problem with letting babies die in soiled utility rooms without medical aid. This is a form of torture.

He regrets congress stepping in to help Terri Schiavo, who was left to die being denied food or water till her kidneys shut down.

Here are a couple of his quotes regarding Ms. Schiavo

Obama also said during an April 2007 debate that he should have fought to cut off Schiavo's food and water earlier.
"And I think I should have stayed in the Senate and fought more for making sure [that Schiavo's parents were not allowed to pursue arguments in federal court],"

He is into torture, just be sure we don’t torture the terrorist, make sure its innocent Americans we torture..

His Consistancy & Logic will be much-more than you (typical) BUSHCO-fans will be able to tolerate.

You should (all) put all o' that plastic-sheeting & duct-tape you bought (for that biological-strike Lil' Dumbya promised you), and wrap your heads up really-well....so, when your heads explode (from that Consistancy & Logic), no one, near-by, gets all messy.

Navigating you folks will be like walking a minefield. Maybe you should (all) invest in little LED-beacons, for on-top your heads, so we can see you coming.

A fresh new wind is blowing in Washington. Maybe, just maybe, we'll begin get some of our international prestige and credibility back.
The question, now, is.....What Are The Torturers AFRAID-Of??!!!

"A former CIA officer familiar with the backstage lobbying for pardons, said: "These are the people President Bush asked to fight the war on terror for him. He gave them the green light to fight tough. The view of many in the intelligence community is that he should not leave them vulnerable to legal censure when he leaves."

"An effort is under way to get pre-emptive pardons. The White House has indicated that the matter is under consideration."

In addition to frontline CIA and military officers, others at risk could include David Addington, Dick Cheney's former counsel, and William Haynes, the former Pentagon general counsel who helped draw up the regulations governing enhanced interrogations.

But some in the intelligence community fear that an overhaul of the justice department could embolden those who would like a full-blown investigation of what went on at Guantanamo Bay, with charges to follow for those involved."

Seeing-as-how these clowns had everyone convinced they were doing the right thing, what's the BIG COVER-UP ALL ABOUT??!!!

Personally, I had no problem with GITMO. It was based on sound legal precedence and a firm OLC decision. The only problem was Europeans shoving common law down our throats as part of a Protocol we never ratified.

GITMO had good legal precedence, but in the realm of public opinion, it has been a flop. All we will most likely see is the US reverting back to the Clinton years when he simply kept prisoners off of US soil, thereby giving US Courts no jurisdiction.

I heard him say that on "60 minutes" last night.

We're losing it by the second. Only in the minds of the idiot left are we getting any 'prestige and credibility' back by supporting the murder of our own children, while protecting terrorist. lol How pathetic!

I am with you Andy, we are losing it not gaining anything. Anyone with a single brain cell can see we have a panty waste about to "rule" us. A easy push over. People do not respect panty wastes, no one will respect Obama, but morons all over confuse liking someone with respecting them. And why do the terrorists like him? because he is an easy push over, why do the socialist nations out there like him, because he will (attempt) to drag us down to their level.

I highly doubt there is a person in power out there who actually respects him, and sure as heck none of them fear him....

but they are glad for him because he makes us weak

What is the Bot King going to do with all the IFs? You can't send them back to where they came from - remember appeasers whimpering about rendition of islamofascist child killers? Most of their home countries would line them up against the nearest wall and shoot them. If Botmeister brings them to the US, a horde of ACLU lawters will file habeas writs and spring them. It'll work, because the government can't reveal it's secrets which would be necessary to convict them. Then what? They become eligibel for CITIZENSHIP under Botmeister's illegal alien amnesty???? :D

THE LUNATICS ARE RUNNING THE ASYLUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Yeah.....primarily 'cause YOU'RE not there!

It was based on sound legal precedence and a firm OLC decision.
I guess we're gonna find-out!!! (....if we can manage to catch all o' the rats that're jumping-ship!!)

"Marine Col. Ralph Kohlmann, chief judge for the U.S. Military Commission trying detainees accused of terrorism in the Guantanamo naval base, will retire five months earlier than expected, officials said. On Monday, he named U.S. Army Col. Steven Henley as his replacement.

A defense official said Kohlmann had planned to retire in April but decided to do it now after concluding that the proceedings would likely continue beyond next spring."

Once The Idiot Son's outta-office....and, culpability is The Issue....I'm thinkin', a lot of people who worked there will start having some serious conscience-attacks!!

It's KARMA-Time for JUSTICE!!!!!

"We will look back on the Bush years and find it incredible, and disgraceful, that individuals were captured in battle or "purchased" from self-interested tribal warlords, whisked to Guantanamo, classified as "enemy combatants" but not accorded the rights that that status should have accorded them, held for years without charges -- and denied the right to prove that they were victims of mistaken identity and never should have been taken into custody.

Years from now, we will be shocked to see those pictures of naked prisoners being humiliated and abused at Abu Ghraib -- and we will be ashamed of a U.S. government that punished low-level troops for their sadism but exonerated the higher-ups who made such sadism possible."

Yes I am a big fan of human rights. The human rights of the people in Iraq, the unborn, people in china who are abused, Tibet, Darfur and a thousand other places

Then, you must surely want the US to regain its credibility as an advocate for human rights, don't you?
