Yikes, politicians being trusted - there goes any chance if it ending well.

Maybe not!
Depends on which poll you read!

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -13

Lets see how the results go in Tuesday's voting by the way!

You don't need an iceberg when you have conservatives hanging around the ship's hull

Hardly a surprise.

The people who want the Fed govt to take over more and more of Health care, rightfully trust the Democrats to do what they want, far more than the Republicans.

And the people (a larger number) who want the Fed govt to keep its hands off Health Care, and pass bills establishing Tort Reform and letting insurance companies to compete across state lines instead, don't trust the Republicans very much to do what they want... almost as much as they don't trust Democrats.

When you add them up, what do you know. Not many people trust Republicans to do what they want on Health Care.

You are rapidly becoming a STAR on this board!:D

GREAT WORK MY FRIEND... and great graphics too.

Plus let's not forget this little factoid. Now only 20% of people will even claim themselves as Republicants. The least amount since 1983.

Post Poll: Only 20% Identify As Republicans, Lowest Since 1983
10-20-09

Reporting on the new ABC/Washington Post poll has mostly focused on support for a public health care option. But the poll also shows that, while Republicans have succeeded in stonewalling Democratic initiatives in Congress, they have not managed to rebuild their party.

Only 20 percent of respondents identified themselves as Republicans -- the lowest number since 1983.

"These numbers, coming roughly one year before the 2010 midterm elections, show that any celebration on the GOP's behalf is premature as the party has yet to convince most voters that it can be a viable alternative to Democratic control in Washington today," wrote Chris Cillizza.

George Stephanopoulos adds:

Only 19% trust Republicans in Congress to make the right decisions for the country's future -- compared to 49% trust in Obama. In addition, President Obama outpaces his fellow Democrats on the Hill -- by 15 points -- in this measure, providing some ammunition to the perpetual White House argument to Democratic members that their political success is inextricably linked to the president's. And unlike other recent polls, ABC-Post give Democrats a 51-39 edge in the generic Congressional ballot.

Did you read the Gallup report?

It said that the reason for the results was that Democrats trusted the democratic leaders while republicans did not trust the republican leaders.

So basically those results reflect that democrats are more gullible than republicans.

Here is the actual wording from the poll:

"These views are predictably partisan in their general direction. Most Democrats express a great deal or fair amount of trust in Obama, as well as in congressional Democrats; they have little to no trust in the Republicans. The reverse is true for Republicans. However, there is a notable difference in degree: a significantly higher proportion of Democrats than Republicans generally trust their own party's leaders on the issue. Eighty-six percent of Democrats trust Obama and 81% trust the Democrats in Congress; by contrast, 61% of Republicans trust the Republicans in Congress."

It's lookin' like we might have another Dem, waiting-in-the-wings, again!!

Republicans appear ready to re-fight Vietnam.
"The reaction to Cao from the right wing has been swift and fierce, with some comparing the only non-Hispanic minority in the GOP caucus to Mao Tse Tung and calling him racial epithets. Rep. Don Young (R-AK) — who has defended Cao’s vote — had to stand beside him during Saturday’s roll call, “fending off his GOP colleagues who might have twisted Cao’s arms.” Last week, RNC Chairman Michael Steele made clear that moderates who dont walk the Party line have no place in the GOP:

"So candidates who live in moderate to slightly liberal districts have got to walk a little bit carefully here, because you do not want to put yourself in a position where you’re crossing that line on conservative principles, fiscal principles, because well come after you."
Hey, Michael.....maybe you need to send him a NOOSE!!!!

"Cao fled Saigon with two siblings three days before the city fell when he was 8 years old and came to America.

Cao's father, an officer with the South Vietnamese Army, was imprisoned by Communists. Cao almost became a priest, spending six years in the Society of Jesus, the Jesuit order. In a C-Span interview, Cao said during that time he was asking "a lot of questions about human existence, human life, what is the meaning of life," <VERY Anti-Republican!!> adding that Kierkegaard, the Danish philosopher, "was involved in my life."

Please correct me if I'm wrong...52% don't trust the Democrats! How do you gather that people trust the Democrats? I get the President part but it clearly shows that neither party is trusted. If you then look at the fact that there are far more Democrats in Congress, you quickly find that the proportions demonstrate an almost equal dislike for the politics of both sides.

Conservatives have devolved into a paranoid cult because 55% of people "trust" President Obama on Healthcare?

Quite the leap of logic you make there.
