Anti-Theism in America

Let us not forgot that G W Bush's grandfather's factory was forcibly closed down for defying bans and continuing supplying the nazis.

Who would have thought that the Bush's and the Nazis would be bedmates?

Lots of people.

The answers are so obvious it is too tiresome to write them down

Sorry

It wasn't a question.

A question is an interrogative statement designed to elicit an answer.

What I wrote was a statement.

Of fact.

G W Bush's grandfather was a nazi sympathiser during WW2

Your "fact" was just a poor distortion of the truth.

Bush was one of seven directors of a bank owned by a Dutch company that was in turn owned by a man named Thyssen. Neither Bush nor any of the other directors knew anything about Thyssens involvement with the National Socialists nor were any of them ever charged with any involvement and there is not a single document that implicates any of them in any way.

Thyssen broke with the National Socialists and was subsequently thrown into a Nazi prison. So even Thyssen was not a sympathiser. He was just a businessman who was duped like probably 90% of the businesses in that part of Europe prior to 1938 when the break occured. Thyssen had already been sent to prison by the time the war started and so in no way could have been a sympathiser during the war as you claim. By the time that the US became involved (1941) he had escaped Germany to France but then France was occupied and he spent the remainder of the war in a concentration camp.

And I'm the pope

Note how the leftist conspiracy nut responds with stupidity to a post responding with fact.

Let's contrast lefty complaints with the complaints that rest of the populous has.

A Senator drove into a pond, killing a young intern who spent the remainder of her life gasping for air in the back window of his car, while he stumbled home drunk.

A Senator has connections to a terrorist group, the Weathermen Underground, the member of which as recently as 2001 stated he had no problem with the bombs he helped set, and only thought they should have set more.

A former president committed felonies, and treason, sold high tech ICBM guidance technology to China who we knew was in turn selling it to Iran, and pardoned Marc Rich, a rich, white, tax evading, traitor to his country, and later found to be the middleman for the oil-for-food UN scandal, all for simple donating money.

Now the contrast.

Dawkins, a very fitting name, has brought up something that happened nearly 70 years ago, with people who are no longer even alive, and which turns out to be a phony claim anyway.

The rest of America, brings up current issues with current people, who are trying to get into public office today (with one exception).

GenSeneca;59158]Revisionist History, its just insane... YouTube is your source this time? Try a Legitimate History Book and don't stop at just one... And WTF does Prescott Bush have to do with the Catholic Church? Nothing!

You just like mentioning Bush's family name with the Nazi's...

YouTube isn't a "source". It's a documentary. And I don't even bring it up as a documentary. I'm just posting the pictures that I said existed showing the interactions between the Nazis & the Catholic Church. They were duped just like a lot of other respectable people in the world.

I bring up Prescott Bush as an example that many people of the time were not opposed to the Nazi Party and Hitler at first. Of course that support did wane as time went on.

The Catholic Church was a group that went along willingly. That's well documented. Like I said before a previous Pope even publicly apologized for it.

This is a ridiculous line of discussion anyway. All I said was Hitler did not shut down religion in Germany. And he didn't.

Let's move on...

:)

Chapter 2 goes back and fills in more details of the sixth day, but never indicates a different order. God said everything he had made was very good. Woman had not been made, and he said it is not good that man should be alone. This never indicates that anything he had made prior was not good.

God said to bring 2 pairs of each animal, and 7 pairs of the clean animals. If I tell you to go to the store and buy one of each donut, but oh by the way, buy 4 of the glazed with sprinkles on top... it's the same thing. 7 Pairs of the clean animals makes logical sense too given that some would be used as sacrifices to the Lord.

I can't find what supposed disagreement you refer to. Jesus was in Jerusalem on at least two separate occasions. It never says he didn't do other things between visits.

Is it possible that different people might have different views of the same event, because they might not have all been at the exact same place? None of them have any statements that are mutually exclusive.

One traced the genealogy through his father, the other traced it through his mother.

(some stuff deleted about what other people have said)

Um... without specifics, I can't comment on what they were referring too.

You can take it anyway you want. God gave you free will, and you will go freely to the place you choose. We all will.

As for me, I've heard all these supposed contradictions before, and any amount of real research shows the answer.

That is the most hocas pocas convoluted explanation for pure man made up BS I've ever heard. That said you have every right to believe it hook line & sinker.

Just leave others to their own beliefs as well and there's no problem.
;)

Strange how those who resisted are no longer around... They were executed or put into camps... Thats well documented.

If you want to make the claim the Catholic Church was on board from day one, every last priest and parishioner, then you're horribly ignorant of history.

Yes, after the Nazi's had TOTAL control... the Church went along, they had no choice.

BTW, the Vatican hid 8,000 Jews and saved them from the Holocaust - I suppose you can spin that to make it sound like the Catholic Church "went along willingly" with the Nazi's.

Let's move on...
Yes, lets! I'm tired of your one dimensional view of history.

Well thank you. I wasn't sure I had that right, given the way you were talking before. Just so you know, I know it to be true, not believe.

The catholic church burned 800,000 men women and children across Europe.

The last pope told the people of Africa that condoms are bad thus perperuaring the ravages of AIDS.

The current pope was in Hitler youth.

The Roman Catholic church is one of the richest institutions on earth but most of its followers are impoverished. What was that **** in the bible about rich people and the eye of a needle?

The church does token bits of good to fool people into thinking it is benign when it just steals money from the poor.

It takes far more than it gives.

That is why it is rich.

Capiche?

Oh and numerous recent popes have refused to condemn the hordes of paedophiles who have taken up careers in the RC church where they can **** the choirboys till thier heart's content.

How about Muslims? Why does Islam get a big ol pass from all the religion haters? In fact, some of the most fervent Anti-Christians seem to be apologists for the atrocities of Muslims... especially where terrorism is concerned.

Maybe its because you know that insulting Islam is bad for your health and that Christians are pacifist enough to take insults without threatening, or causing, you bodily harm.

Of course, those people aren't the REAL enemy....

Its those intolerant Christians we have to watch out for... Like Andy.

Of course, the classic defense.

2 wrongs make a right.

ALL religion is bad.

Classic Anti-theist comeback!!!

You do realize I am non religious, don't you? Not because I think Religion is all bad or that All religions are bad, just that none of them make sense to me...

So why don't I hear you complaining about Islam? Could it have something to do with the fact that you reject the notion that Muslim Extremists could have perpetrated 9/11?

Maybe because you REALLY hate Americans and you know over 60% of us are Christians...

It is to the shame of the US that it is in the grip of religious fundamentalism.

Exactly the same as many Muslim countries.

I don't attack Islam on this board because Americans, in a spectacular act of hypocsiry, seem to understand quite clearly how ****ed up islamic fundamentalism is.

But the US is run by a religious fundamentalist who routinely approves of imprisonment without trial, the execution of minors, torture and aggression towards other states.

Not that different to Saddam Hussein really.

If the hypocritical-coloured spectacles are removed.
