aiding ukraine seemed like a reasonable thing for a us vp to do. the constitution doesn't have any assigned duties to the VP, so its pretty much whatever the president wants him to do. working on foreign policy seems like a good thing to do.

Baloney. The aid was not his to control. Foreign aid runs through foreign fingers that may or may not belong to crooks, yet the US does not send Americans into those countries to dictate to their leaders how to act in internal matters if they want to keep getting our money.
