What you may be forgetting is the POTUS is also supposed to defend America and the US Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic ...
How's that workin out for us all?

My point was that the military was told to stand down. You know as well as I do the only person who can give that order. Obviously, Obama does have control over the military and can and will make unprecedented calls.
Now, if he attempted to use the military against the American people surely there would be resistance. There was of course resistance to the order to stand down that night in Benghazi ....
but how'd that work out for Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty?
I am just saying .... any common sense scenarios from the past about .... "well that could never happen" .... isn't exactly a safe call under this regime. Obviously, the Constitution means nothing to this regime and they have no problem violating it and it's almost like they dare anyone to try to stop them.
Why is Obama arming the DHS to the teeth? If it was just to create an ammo shortage for civilians then why all the weapons and armored vehicles too?
Waco is another story. And, don't get me wrong a great violation as well.
But, in Obama's comment yesterday it was as if he was threatening any and all American citizens who oppose him. That is not exactly a rogue cult in Texas, right wrong or otherwise.
This was something much larger ......

Isn't the whole point of a media, and the mention of it in the constitution, that we do not and are not supposed to trust our government? Wouldn't we expect a constitutional expert to know that? Shouldn't a defender of the constitution support that notion that the people should not trust the government blindly?

You are absolutely correct. It is the very reason for the Bill of Rights!
Yes .... we would expect that .... and yes a "defender" of the Constitution should support that notion.
But, Obama and regime are no defenders of the Constitution or any thing else this Country stands for. Marxist and Marxist ideology are the enemy to the US Constitution and to this Country.
This should be more than evident at this point to all rational thinking Americans.
Call a government operation a "war" and you open it up to all manner of abuses of the Constitution. The "war on terror" is no different. See also: War on drugs, war on poverty.
and the people still trust government? Why?

"That database will have information about everything on every individual on ways that it's never been done before and whoever runs for President on the Democratic ticket has to deal with that. They're going to go down with that database and the concerns of those people because they can't get around it. And he's [President Obama] been very smart. It's very powerful what he's leaving in place."

I would say yes .....
Isn't it being reported the government has been spying on Verizon customers for 7 years? I am sure a lot has evolved technologically in seven years.
