A new LA Times/Bloomberg Poll shows Obama with a nice healthy lead over McCain nationally. Some of the more interesting results:

Obama-49%
McCain-37%

With Barr and Nader added

Obama-48%
McCain-33%

Women

Obama-54%
McCain-29%

White voters

Obama-39%
McCain-39%

Hey Sihouette, here's one for you:

the great majority of Clinton voters have transferred their allegiance to Obama, the poll found. Only 11% of Clinton voters have defected to McCain.

Conservatives

McCain-58%
Obama-15%
Someone else-14%
Undecided-13%

Bush Approval rating

Approve-23%
Disapprove-73%

McCain's broader challenge is underscored by a depressed mood about the direction of the country, with just 13 percent of voters saying the nation is on the right track. Two summers ago, before the big Democratic wins in the midterm elections, that figure was 30 percent. In this week's survey, more than half of all voters say McCain would continue Bush's policies

Plus historically it is EXTREMELY difficult for one political Party to hold the White House for three terms... and that's even if the outgoing President is popular...

W. is tracking at somewhere around a blistering 26% job approval rating. And John McCain embraces him. Sorry John... no coat tails there!

But the saddest thing is John McBush so out of it he still doesn't really fully understand the concept of "you're caught on tape"! ;)

L.A. Times and Bloomberg are very liberal news outlets, those numbers are very deceiving:

Check out today's Gallup Poll, it shows both tied @ 45%

Gallup Daily: Obama, McCain Tied at 45%
Obama had held at least a slim advantage for most of June

PRINCETON, NJ -- The latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update on the presidential election finds John McCain and Barack Obama exactly tied at 45% among registered voters nationwide.

Voter preferences had been fairly evenly divided for the past week, with Obama generally holding a slight advantage of two or three percentage points. This is the first time since Gallup's May 31-June 4 rolling average that Obama does not have at least a slim advantage over McCain. Obama's largest lead to date has been seven points. (To view the complete trend since March 7, 2008, click here.)

Since the changes from Tuesday's results are well within the margin of sampling error, it is unclear at this point if today's results represent a further tightening of the race. The last two individual nights of polling have, however, been more favorable to McCain that what Gallup has shown for most of June. -- Jeff Jones

I've seen those numbers on every liberal news channel, including the spanish channels.

Hey... there has to be a poll or two out there where they're close. But look at the vast majority and the trending.

There's no doubt as far as polls go it's a lot better to be Senator Obama right now than John McSame.
;)

Can't wait until Hillary starts campaigning for Barack tomorrow!!! GOOD TIMES!!!

The poll of polls from Real Clear Politics is showing Obama with only a 6.3 % edge over McCain.

This really blows my mind, because you hear more about Obama on the news than McCain. I don't know if someone forgot to tell Mccain that he's running for pres. Perhaps, his alztheimers is kicking in.

Having said that, shouldn't Obama be blowing him off the charts by now...

Here's the latest polls, which also shows them tie in the Gallup poll @ 44%
