Why Do You Hate Obama?

Hmm, the better question is does Obama hate America as it was?

All of his policies are destroying it.
Most people don't like unemployment he creates!
Most people don't like a president that bad mouths America!
Most people don't like a president that is lying through his teeth about the
healthcare plan and what it will cost.

Just like 1+1=2, this country already is sliding downward in world view.
Today America rates 13th best to live in? Under Bush it was rated higher, but who cares, right!

We can't get the Olympics, although Bush had it guaranteed in the bag,
then Obama loses it for us, nice! Now his supporters say the Olympics aren't that important.

Obama seems not to
be trying really. He can't even decide what to do in Afghanistan!

Yet we aren't supposed to complain and if we do we are called racists, uncle-toms, oreo cookies!
Yes race relations are going backward under Obama also.

ASUR!! You are so correct on everything you stated about Obuma -mmm-mmm-mmm , Could you please advise him on what to do about AFGH. ,he is totaly unfit to be our president. What must our Military think? Men and Women are dying while D.C. burns!! MY GOD , What have we done! I thought BUSH turned into a zero but it took him four years to do so , this "prompter" magnet did it in nine months! Nine months ,that is about as long as his mother carried him, its time for him to leave!! IMPEACH the UNDECIDER!!

Doesn't matter the dollar it represents is out there somewhere moving around in the economy.

Yeah it does matter. If putting money in a bank was such a stimulus, then the government would encourage us to increase our savings rate instead of telling us to keep up our consumerism.

I'll pull together my reply to several posts you and Dr. Who have made.

Dr. Who is right on!

AtheismIsReality, your grasp of global business and the reality of how a corporate entity works is obviously second hand. You suggested that my reasoning on outsourcing was hollow. Well, I hate to break it to you, but it isn't a theory. I've traveled the world and worked for many of those corporations everyone wants to hate. The top 20 global companies outsource to China and India for just one reason - the money is there.

In some cases, their expenses were greater to move the business operations overseas, but that is where the money is. And when you say a corporation has cash...it isn't sitting in a savings account or a bank vault somewhere. It is in the economy as it is constantly invested somewhere. People saving money and corporations saving money are two entirely different things.

As with all former Presidents...I'm just allowing this current administraion time to work at their jobs and in 'HOPE' that this president will be able to do ½ of what he wanted to do & promised to do on his campaign tour...;)
BUT quite a few of the 'lessor thinking' hate mongers around here will be hard pressed to form a thoughtful non racist opinion about the 'TRUTH' of the "WHY DO THEY HATE" our new president as they have proven with their continual smut posts...they have no quantified rational reason, they just have whiny excuses and hidden angry agendas that follow the thought processes of their leaders ie Rush Limbaugh's & Glen Becks of this world.

While I generally dont take the tone you do in your posts, I agree in thinking that things have been much overblown in many cases. We havent had time yet to have a major reason to shout. There have been a few things that I have disagreed with. But they were rather minor, and in a handful of things have been corrected.

There have been some hammering on him for the last two years over anything imaginable. Not that it doesnt run both ways, but this is the most outspoken I have seen.

This is my favorite paragraph in a long time. You do realize that the numbers those rankings are compiled from are based on 2007 numbers? Not exactly something you can blame on the current President. But it adds evidence to some theories I have developed.

We can't get the Olympics, although Bush had it guaranteed in the bag,
then Obama loses it for us, nice! Now his supporters say the Olympics aren't that important.
It has been his detractors who cheered at the news, or quietly got glee in percieving his failure after they criticized so heavily his efforts in the first place. The fact of the matter is that nothing was going to please those critical of him about the olympics, which are generally the same people who are critical of anything and everything he does.
Obama seems not to
be trying really. He can't even decide what to do in Afghanistan!
He cant decide what to do in Afghanistan? Hell he has been in there 9 months of a fluid situation. Bush had 6 solid years of war if Afghanistan. Nuff Said.
Yet we aren't supposed to complain and if we do we are called racists, uncle-toms, oreo cookies!

There would not be nearly as much hooplah is Palin herself was running the country. I know there are plenty of people who dislike the President based on policy. There also those among collective meltdown that has happened in certain circles of American political movement that base this at its foundation because of his background. If it wasnt Barak Hussien Obama the socialist muslim from Nigeria who got brainwashed in Indonesia.
If it was any other of the viable candidates, the criticism would be different.

Is it a normal leftist tactic to make up a question composed of "Why do you...." followed by a talking-points lie?

Is this what you folks substitute for actual debate, when you can't refute what your opposition is saying?

My sympathies.

Well the fact that quite a few have replied to the question as it is does say something doesnt it?

Either way, instead of being a cop out Ill give you another chance by reprasing my question.

Why do you dislikeor fill in other negative adjective here Obama?

I don't hate Obama, any more or less than I hated Bush, or Clinton.

Obama is just a man. Nothing more, nothing less.

The problem is, I completely disagree with his policies. I disagree with his methods. I disagree with his false "hope" he gives people.

Every time there has ever been a spectacular cultist following of someone promising to fix all the worlds problems, there has been an equally spectacular destruction at the end.

This country was built, not by a single visionary leader who foresaw a great nation, but rather by rugged individualism, and everyone working to improve their own lives, and indirectly the lives of everyone else.

How many nations have been ruined by those claiming to be able to fix everything? Hitler? Mugabe? Stalin? Mao? Pol Pot? Hugo Chavez?

I'm currently reading a book "Panama Fever", and it's simply amazing the number of times, prior to the Panama Canal, how many countries sent people claiming they'd create world peace by making the Panama Canal. Dozens of countries, sent millions and trillions of dollars, to Panama. Each time in massive failure with thousands of deaths, only to have some other looney stand up and claim he'd do it. He'd bring about the golden age. He'd fix the worlds problems. He'd cause world peace.

Yet people are so lame it seems, that each time we have a massive failure, some other yahoo stands up claiming they can really do it, and all the US citizens start chanting "hope and change", only to find out that like all the others, it was a shaman.

Obama is no different. After giving billions to auto companies, they still filed for bankruptcy. After continuing the TARP fund, all the banks that were in trouble, still were closed or bought out. After passing the Stimulus, the economy continued to tank even faster than his own people projected.

I'd be hard pressed to see one thing he was successful at, given all the vast ambiguous promises he made.

While I agree that he is merely a man, and I think your disagreement with his policy is fair. You tend to get away from me with your comparisons to mad men and mass murderers. It simply isnt fair, or appropriate INVHO. America is still America. Whatever happens in 2012 or in 2016, America will still be America and just like tons had to deal with life under Bush despite thier vigorous disagreement, life will go on, Ive been through it.

I have to agree with the majority of Andy's post...Bunz, you presuppose that hate is the basis behind the reactions. Maybe in some cases it is, but the reality is that many of us are just opposed to the methodology and ideology that this Administration and Congress are pitching. I believe the intense anger that occurs from some has less to do with racism and more to do with fear. Having worked very hard to go from meager beginnings to something better. It scares me when it is suggested that it will no longer be voluntary to help the less fortunate. Can we make this country a better place...hell yeah...but it will take the creation of new jobs and that seems to be very low on this Administrations and Congress' laundry list. It's not about hate...it's about fear.

I only disagree with Andy in terms of when it comes to the comparisons to mass murderers. Other than that I think his dislike or however you want to put it is fair.
I used the word hate in my post to a little more attention, but also to try and understand better those who oppose the President at every turn, just to oppose him for whatever reason.

To address this further, I completely agree and that is what I thought to be a major factor behind the emotion concerning America right now. Fear.

I have suggested this before and some have said I was crazy. There seems to be one thing that drives the major news industry and that is fear and speculation. I honestly watch very little cable news anymore, but when it is on, the common thing I see more of Fox news than say CNN is that Fox is always looking to stir the pot with partisanship, and it is often based on being afraid of something bad happening in the future.

During the bird flu hooplah the Bush administration and DHS specifically swarmed on my little town in SW Alaska with zero road access with media in tow to make a show that they were on the front lines of fighting bird flu.
In the meantime, for the locals, they said to make sure and cook your birds thoroughly. But dont change anything else, hunt away as usual. This was back in 2005 and well before the Sarah Palin Show.

Huh, what did society ever give me or my family? No one in my direct family has ever received welfare or even unemployment. The infrastructure (roads, bridges, water, and electricity) has been paid for every step of the way (taxes) and I'll argue was more expensive because of the regulatory methodology created by FDR.
I would suggest that the bridges which turned out to be critical infastructure and allowed the economy to expand making modern America possible.
How does improving ones standard of living destroy the framework? How did my community give me an opportunity to achieve? What the hell are you talking about? Again, "individualistic" means that you take the bull by the horns and you make a better life, not wait for the "community" to provide you an opportunity. Remember, it is always one or two people in every community that creates the inertia that allows everyone else to succeed. The day you stop giving those couple people incentive we might as well just lower our expectations because communities have never innovated or grown anything.
I think there is plenty of credible evidence that for the far majority of humanity, and Americans very much included in this...they will live thier entire life in the same class as they were born. The poor stay poor and the rich stay rich. This comes largely from thier access to resources in all forms in thier development. Access to resources comes from infrastructure.

This is not to forget or discount in any single way those who have worked very hard to achieve more and enjoy success.

Oh, I wasn't saying that some places to put money are more or less stimulative. I was saying that no matter where a corporation puts money it is circulating in the economy.

About the other thing: the best person to decide where to put money to get stimulative value is the person who owns the money. Right now we have a poor economy largely because we have borrowed too much. As a result of the recessions many americans have been paying down debt and our collective debt has decreased greatly. This is what will repair our economy. Paying down debt, because that is what caused this mess, is the best way to repair our economy. Whose debt should be paid down? Why the debt of the person who owns the money - you and I should get a refund of our taxes so that we can pay down our debt.

Now if you just want stimulation then the next best thing to do is to stimulate the industries that are growing the most.

The last thing you want to do is to stimulate industries that are dying and will be gone anyway - like the typewriter industry.

What? Gimme one other reason.

Unions have served their usefulness and are now obsolete. Today when a person joins a union they are just throwing away their dues as it offers no greater protection from say, being forced into child labor, than not joining a union.

No doubt most Americans recognize this and it is why union membership is soo low right now.

They will regain thier radical tendencies...

For example, have you heard of the teacher's union that almost overthrew the peurto rican government? Or how a farmer's union Europe-wide strike amost deprived the entire EU of milk?

Get your facts strait.
