Why Do You Hate Obama?

They will regain thier radical tendencies...

For example, have you heard of the teacher's union that almost overthrew the peurto rican government? Or how a farmer's union Europe-wide strike amost deprived the entire EU of milk?

Get your facts strait.

I was only speaking of the continental US. It is none of my business what the unions do to oppose the gov in Europe.

Get your facts strait.

First, it didn't deprive the EU of milk. It raised the cost of milk, because supply and demand naturally increases cost when supply is lower, and demand is constant. Basic economics always applies.

Further, if the worst thing a union can do is dump milk on the ground, that's a bit pathetic.

Finally, the whole problem was the cost of milk was too low to make money. The obvious answer is to reduce supply. Of course dumping it on the ground is a bit counter productive to increasing your profit, so that was a tad stupid.

As for Peurto Rico, that's an example of socialism failing again. You really don't get that government doesn't have some endless pit of "wealth" behind the capital building that they can just keep dishing out to everyone endless. The don't have the money. They have to cut spending. The only way to do that is by............. NOT SPENDING.

Immediately after announcing the layoffs Friday of more than 16,000 public employees, Puerto Rico government officials went on the defensive.

The job cuts are in addition to 2,500 layoffs earlier this year. The cuts are expected to raise the unemployment rate in the commonwealth to 17 percent.

Little hint... the same is going to happen here. We can't afford this $1.8 Trillion dollar deficit, or whatever it is now.

Dumping milk on the ground is a means to an end, the end being to be able to make a living. That is done by making everyone sorry they prevented them from making a living, by taking thier milk supply. The immense power of the proletariat it action!

If the peurto ricans have the neccasary resources to give out, why could they possibly need money? That is one of the main problems in the world. You need money for everything, even water!

But see, they didn't make anyone sorry. They just lost thousands of Euros in milk to sell. The only one's sorry, were the milk farmers who lost so much money in milk dumped out.

This is why it's so hard to talk to a liberal socialist about basic economics. You don't seem to grasp the situation, or you'd understand that not one single thing has changed.

The problem is, there is more milk being produced, than there is demand to consume it. Economics 101 says, supply in inverse relationship to demand, determines price. So, supply is up, demand is down, price falls. How does this work out?

You are a store. You have milk on your shelves, and because demand is lower than expected, the milk isn't selling very fast. You know that if you don't sell them milk quick enough, it will start to expire. So you lower your price.

The store next to you, likely has the same problem, but even if it does not, will still have to lower prices to compete with you.

The consumers meanwhile, love this lowering of price, which spurs even more lowered prices.

You are now a milk whole-seller. Since the stores you service are not charging as much for milk, neither are they paying you as much for milk. Since you are getting less money for a shipment of milk, you also can't pay as much for the next shipment. So the next order of milk, yields a lower price.

You are a dairy farmer. Your whole-seller just quoted you a low price for a shipment of milk. So you driver your milk tanker to the town square and dump the entire shipment on the ground. What have you accomplished?

Well let's think. All those mothers and fathers out there, are they going to go to the supermarket and say "I saw a farmer dump milk! I'm going to pay $5 more for a gallon now!", or are they going to buy the cheapest milk they can find like normal? Likely the latter.

So are the stores going to suddenly raise their prices, sending customers to their competitors because they saw a farmer dump milk on the ground? Or keep their prices as low as required to sell the milk? Likely the latter.

So are the whole-sellers going to pay more for a shipment of milk than the store is willing to pay for the milk, thereby going bankrupt, because they saw a farmer dump milk on the ground? Not likely.

So what has changed since the farmers dumped milk on the ground? Not a thing.

Liberals always trying and look at what they've done, and claim it was some sort of a success. It rarely if ever is.

I have watched with mild amusement lately a number of threads including several duplicate threads about how horrible of a job Obama is doing.

So my question is quite simple, why do you hate Obama?

I know I could have made a poll, but wanted to keep it open ended and am encouraging more than just one liner rehashed talking points. Please put some individuality and thought into the response.

Thanks in advance for your time in responding.

hate is a harsh word. I dislike the guy because he's all talk and no action. He's a self centered individual. Even his cocky attitude at the podium makes me sick...

Peurto rico is an american possession.

I already stated that I was talking about the continental US. Puerto Rico is not on the continent.

So when I said:

"Unions have served their usefulness and are now obsolete. Today when a person joins a union they are just throwing away their dues as it offers no greater protection from say, being forced into child labor, than not joining a union.

No doubt most Americans recognize this and it is why union membership is soo low right now."

It would still be true for the continental US.

Lets see how you fare without milk!!!

I am not a liberal, or a socialist.

Capitalist economics do not apply to free-thinking communists.

Then you must have been totally catatonic while G.W.B. was acting like a total A$$ those 8 years that he was strutting his pompous A$$ around the world. Yep, you sure must have been one sick puppy to have witnessed that B.S. walking/talking - couldn't pronounce sh!t without screwing the word up! ;)

It is funny how you guys response is always George Bush to whatever the topic is.
Don't you have a better come back? It is funny that your messiah got a Nobel prize just for not being GW...

btw: I was never a Bush fan, nor I was following the Republican party in those days. After seeing all the BS that Pelosi and Reid did during the primaries, it made want to look at the party closely and decided that I would not vote for an incompetent puppet.

BTW...I'm not part of the 'YOU GUYS' and I'm not so sure who that 'YOU GUYS' encompasses and as a INDEPENDENT and proud of it! I actually voted for that buffoon in 2004 because I drank from that pitcher of Kool-aide about the "FEAR" {only I the mighty G.W.B. can protect you little sheeple Americans}. But you are the one that stated that our new president is coming off as 'COCKY & Self Assured'...I was astounded that you couldn't see the hypocrisy in that

In general, yes.

Well, Do I like unions ? NO, I find unions , labor unions are for weak minded individuals . People who has no confidence in their abilities and must rely on brute force from fellow union goons. In my younger days I too was a union goon. We went on a long strike for a FIVE CENT AN HOUR increase in wages. During our walkout some members had to cross the picket line because they had families. So the goons used dynanite and blew up their homes! Yea , some goons went to prison for years over that deal. As for me I was so disgusted I returned to school and in four years left that stinking union and never worked for an hourly wage again . So I guess I can credit the crazy democrats , the fascist unions for what became an unbelievable career in SALES!! It was their unamerican activities that inspired me to leave! Today , UNIONS are even worse , Fascism is wild in our nation and America is on the verge of collapse. Only GOD can save us now! THINK!
