Ah yes, I had a senior moment. I don't remember Cloward-Piven. But, of course I remember the SDS and Weathermen back in the late 60's or so. You guys forgot to mention Diana Oughton who blew herself up in Greenwich Village while making a bomb. Bill Ayres and Diana lived next door to me when I had a house in Ann Arbor. They were running an experimental school at that time. They moved out owing 2 months rent. I never met them because I was in Berkeley at the time.

I did briefly meet John Sinclair's wife, but not John because I think he was in jail. I did see the riots around Berkeley's campus. Nasty stuff -- trashing small businesses, huge bonfires in the streets, lots of people gleefully cheering others peeing on the Bank of America, throwing bricks at police cars as they pulled up. Tear gas all over. I even got hit by a tear gas canister when I was going to a grocery store. Almost ruined my shoes and pants.

No I wasn't part of it. I was doing my thesis at the Livermore cyclotron and had to pass by the riots on my way home. Very few of the actual rioters were politically motivated. A very large part of it was the "street people" who came out of the cracks to join the "fun".

That was my whole point. Why are pols bootlicking the NRA when the NRA is promoting continuing loose laws so that anyone can get assault rifles to threaten the pols. It just doesn't make sense. The pols are shooting themselves in the foot (almost literally) if your theory is true.

as i said if America ditches the 2nd then it will have confirmed Tyler's prediction if the course of a democracy.

Patrick Henry was serious when he made his comments on freedom in St John's church here in downtown Richmond VA. and i believe that when people come to believe their liberty is under legitimate threat they will feel the same.

I am not worried about U.S. being in trouble of loosing liberty. That is why I'm puzzled why you guys are so paranoid about it. And that is why I wondered if you had some conspiracy theory in mind that makes you so paranoid. And why you hold assault rifles so dear. Assault rifles are for efficient and massive killing and I can only be lead to believe that you want to hold on to the idea of a bloody overt revolution.

The difference between you and the far left in the 60's is that they were a idiots that thought covertly bombing buildings was going to change things. You are talking about assault rifles which are about as overt as you can get.

Hey, c'mon I really want to join the revolution and tell all my flaming liberal friends about it. You never answered my request for where to get the revolution info from MSM. When I google it I only get info on methyl sulfonyl methane. I seriously never heard of it. I know MSNBC, but they are way to repetitive and boring.
