When I read Igor's posts about how tempting it is to be gay I have to wonder if he isn't battling against his own desires. His posts could be aimed at himself as much as anyone else. He sounds like a man fighting what he feels are dark impulses. He sounds afraid.

I find it so hypocritical that any time a "Christian" does something horrible (as the terrorist in Norway, the fundamental Christians raise against him/her to deny him/her as a Christian!

There is an excellent work called BIOLOGICAL EXHUBERANCE by Bruce Bagemihl in which he cites the work of hundreds of researchers who've been studying animal behavior. The book is a scientific work and runs to more than 800 pages.

It always tickles me when people deny the validity of a book they haven't read. Many animals appear to be bi-sexual and behave differently during the mating season than during the rest of the year. It's a truly fascinating book.

I have not read it but I remember the topic of homosexual animal's from reading yours and silhs posts.

I remember her saying once the horses used the mount they would never go back to female horses.

Yes, I have and it's quite common. Big horn sheep live in gender segregated herds most of the year and the males have sex with each other, but during mating season the most dominant males go off and mount the females before returing to their bachelor lifestyles.

Geese mate for life--gay and straight--so they don't switch back and forth.

Get a copy of the book from the library, it's a great read and a fascinating study in sexuality.

Siho tried to extrapolate from domesticated animals to wild animals and people, and that just won't work. Domesticated animals are too far removed from their natural habitat and way of life to be compared one to one with wild animals or humans.

As far as her assertion that stallions/bulls will never go back to females is suspect in my eyes because why would people ever let them go back? Collecting and selling semen is a big business and turning your prize producers out to mingle with females is hardly good business.
